Mewt it was FUN. I was in my own blue heaven! It was a special day for me. KItsunegrl yes that is the ugly duckling bead! I love it, but then I love all my beads (except for the florence).

You can talk about any of them in this thread. I started this thread because I was trying to decide between a Pandora or a Trollbeads bracelet. I got a Trollbeads bracelet, but I still kinda want a Pandora too...

I've only recently discovered Troll Beads. We have a Pandora store at a nearby mall and I've been considering getting one recently. When I went to check it out, I ran across a new Troll Beads store. I'm definately getting trollbeads, but I can't decide what bead to get :/ Oh the inner turmoil! What was your first bead...anyone?

My first bead was the forget me not, and I had also sent one to my sister! It is a tough, yet fun decision!

I purchased 3 beads for my first TB purchase a long, long time ago. They were Joyful, Crane & Vine. My first glass beads were green sand, green shade, and Old Antique Flower. They are still among my favorite beads and I use them all the time; that's why I think if you just go with your instinct, you will automatically choose the right beads for yourself.

So I went to the store and got a little catalogue. The first lady working there was awesome, she was really passionate about the product and clearly loved what she did. Great right? Well I took the book home to go through, when I decided which beads I wanted to get started with I went back. The second girl there was so rude. She kept telling me that I needed to pick my chain and clasp first. I mean, I understand that. But I wanted to see a few of the beads so I could decide which ones I wanted to pair up. She refused. I didn't understand why I couldnt just see the 3 beads together. This totally ruined my first TB purchase. I left with nothing and I was told to go home again, with the book...again...and circle the beads I wanted and come back. I want to go back, but I know if I do. I'll be THAT customer that complains. so frustrating. Sorry. end vent.

Wow. What terrible customer service! May I ask where this shop is located? I would recommend Trollbeads At The Commons!

It was the counter at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda MD. I agree terrible service. Work took me to Annapolis today so I popped by their TB counter and I'm happy to report that I got my first bead! I got the small flower clasp and red stripe bead. I think I'm going to go with a beachy theme with a splash of colors inspired by crustacions, but who knows where this will take me! Excitement!

I used to live in Montgomery County! The mall had changed so much last time I was back. Sorry to hear you were treated so rotten, how ridiculous to insist you buy a bracelet first! You should be able to try out as many beads as you like in store without picking a bracelet and without having to go home and circle them in a book. I have never heard of such a thing, geesh.

Glad to hear your second trip was better and hope from here on out its all the fun it should be!
