Here is a pic of my Pandora buddha bead. I truly apologise for the cruddy pic... I need a better camera than using my silly mobilephone! But it is so more convenient, I can just post pics faster this way...

Awwww, he's adorable! And I love that azure bubbles!

I just for the mermaid from Red Bali frog because i didn't care for the troll, it's nice to have choices. :)

Lol that is my SECOND azure bubbles. LOVE that bead! Do you mean the mermaid lock, or the mermaid bead? I didn't see a redbalifrog mermaid bead!

He looks adorable. Congrats!

Thank you! I think he is alot better than the troll buddha, which I rarely say, but in this case, Pandora's buddha wins over Trollbeads buddha!

!

Yep, they have a mermaid bead to match the lock! It's the first one I've seen that I liked the looks of. I should have ordered the lock too but I'll save it for another time.

I never thought to mix beads till I saw your bracelets. Today I had pandora set aside a new green irish looking murano bead. It looked so pretty next to the three murano troll beads. At some point I need to add some silver beads, but I just love the muranos.

And here is the Ugly Duckling bead! I have to say that I was struck by the incredible detail on this bead. I bought this from the Trollbeads retailer that is closest to me called the Golden Swann in Auburn.

Here's my first Trollbeads bracelet =) I also found little surprises on the Ugly Duckling bead - like that little frog on the side sharing the overhead leaf!
I definitely prefer Trollbeads' glass and silver over Pandora, as well as the bracelet and clasp style. I WOULD like to get a few Pandoras for future themed bracelets and mix up the best of them, like a Christmas-themed one for next year. :D

^Speaking about TBs only since I don't have any Pandora, it's not about the cost of the material. It's about the ability to put your own bracelet together, reassemble at will and the enjoyment of wearing, collecting and sharing the beads. It's not something you can be persuaded into; either you get it or you don't. Also, TB has been around since 1976, so if it's a con, it's been working for a long time!:roflmfao:

I have Tiffany & Cartier pieces and they are nice. But anyone with the $$ can go into the store and buy the exact same thing. Where's the uniqueness, the "it" quality that makes it mine? With beads, anyone can buy the same beads, but the chance of someone assembling their bracelet exactly like mine are slim to none.

It's like the Louboutin shoes...people love and pay huge amounts of $$ for them. I don't get it; once you put them on and the red gets scratched, doesn't the value immediately plummet? I'd rather get a few (or lots!) pairs of cute shoes that I don't have to baby as I clomp about town or sit prettily on a stool. I obviously, don't get it.

You just said the words in my head. Great explanation!:graucho:

The Ugly Duckling bead is adorable, one of my favorites.
