Hubby took me to get a new bead today! I went in hoping to get the inner strength or angel of hope bead, but they were BOTH sold out:rant: I ended up settling on the Journey bead and it's soo pretty:love: I could have spent hours in there looking at everything!!

I am new to Pandora and just received my first bracelet as my anniversary gift from my DH!!! :yahoo:I have wanted one for a LONG time and finally got one!!! He gave me the bracelet and 2 charms (the silver puffy heart and the red hot love enamel ball) 2 weeks ago... Since then he bought me the money bags charm to symbolize my new job, the inner strength charm (every girl should have that!!!! LOL), the dangly double red hearts charm and today he surprised me with my first Murano charm (black with the grey/white zig zag!!!) So I have 6 charms all together....no clips....I was wondering do I NEED the clips? I would rather have the room for more charms if you know what I mean :graucho: I would love to hear everyone's opinions on whether or not clips are necessary! Thanks so much in advance!!!

What a sweet dh! I love that Murano!

I didn't get a clip until the kids had picked out six beads and they were moving all over the place. I only have one clip, to be sure nothing falls off. Don't know what others will say. I am ambivalent about the clips.

The Pandora Bracelets Continued...seems to be the current thread. There are a lot of people there who love it, including me! Clips are necessary for the ends. To avoid breakage, the SA's advise clips to be sure that the bracelet will bend appropriately. I say, at least one. Depending on gold or silver you can use different clips to substitute as beads/charms. Have fun! It's addicting.

thanks! when you say "ends" do you mean both ends surrounding the pandora clasp? I have 6 charms....do I need the clips now or can I wait til it's full? Thanks girls so much for your help!!!

I LOVE the journey bead!!!! I was able to get the LAST inner strength charm at my jewelry store....the SA said that charm was very popular for Mother's Day.....I would have bought the journey too if they were out of inner strength! GOOD PICK!!!!

I went to have my jewelry cleaned today and I should know myself by now, I can't go in there and NOT come out with something....soooooooo, I picked up the blue cz flowers dangle bead!! I cleared out my second silver bracelet and paired it up with two of my muranos that I thought it looked great with...I'm loving the minimalist look of it next to my full two tone one!! Heres a pic of my new bead on the bracelet....

I love your purchase! SO summery! :D
I have been wearing my bracelets a bit airy for summer and I am loving it.

I will post my new pendant soon I can figure out if I am putting it on a full bracelet or a leather bracelet I am still playing. I will post when I create a BEAUTY!

I love it too! They had just sold their last inner strength before I got there, and told me that they wouldnt be getting anymore in till fall, and the Angel bead was on back order.

Hi Ladies - here are my feelings on the clips. (And I have really been shopping, learning, trying, and researching Pandora bracelets and beads.)

They are not necessary for everyone. Not at all. But for me, they are. What happens is that the last beads on either side of the Pandora clasp get stuck on the threads that lead to the clasp - the threads we use to screw the beads on.

Yes, a safety chain would cure that problem but I'd rather not have one of those. They make closing the clasp harder for me with the chain getting twisted and in the way. So I *have* to use two clips on either side of the Pandora clasp. The clips do not slide onto and get stuck on the threads surrounding the Pandora clasp like the beads do.

As for clips being used in the middle of the bracelet where the two raised parts of the bracelet are - this is to section and center your arrangement. I also use clips here. Thing is, there are some really pretty clips to use so these are just as nice as beads for me. But again - necessary? No. Only if you want them.

I have a clip on one end, but hadn't really thought about the other. I have one full bracelet, so I don't need the clips to section the arrangement, but I am starting a black/gold one, so it will take a while to fill it. I'm thinking about getting clips to help section the beads off.

Chasersmom - I am crazy for blue mixed with silver like your avatar bracelet. So cool looking (literally). Some day I will do one like yours. I saw the blue zen bead and the blue vine bead at the store but have resisted....for now.:graucho:

Black and gold sounds great, too.:smile1: Such interesting ideas on here!

Thanks everyone!!!! I thought the clips were used so that the bracelet wouldnt break.....I am happy to hear I dont need them YET!!!! Sometimes when I go to put my bracelet on it wont "bend" properly and I feel like it is going to "kink" ....does anyone else have this problem.....when I straighten it out it does bend properly and I am able to put it on.....that is why I thought I may need clips!

Hi Mrs. Mac! First of all, congrats! How fun to have a new special bracelet from your DH. I have never heard about clips preventing the bracelet from kinking - but I am certainly not an expert - YET.:p

Sometimes, even with my clips on, I have somehow twisted the bracelet, it looks and feels "off," and I must undo it and put it on correctly. I don't *think* these lovely bracelets can permanently kink. Pure silver is a pretty darn strong metal, ya know?
