I am another person who can't really stand the safety chain. I have always put a clip at the end of my bracelet, so I am not afraid of losing beads when I take my bracelets off. I thought that I would try a safety chain on my two-tone bracelet because it would be really devastating to have to replace if I should lose it. I tried for months, but in the end, it just twisted so much that there were nights that I couldn't get it off without help. For me, the inconvenience out-weighted the benefits.

I don't sem to have much trouble with them, but I do admit they do twist occasionally. I have another safety chain which I bought on ebay, I think it is a chamilia, it has the clip ends but is too small to go over the threads. I would love to get more of them as they don't twist like the pandora ones. Also as it has clips I can take it off and on without having to remove the beads. It is on the bracelet on my profile pic.

Your bracelet is very pretty, Yorlig. But then, I haven't seen a bracelet I don't like on here!:p

I am narrowing down more with what type of beads I like (lest I spend an utter fortune). My favorite beads are the sterling with 14K accents. HOWEVER - if they turn all the time and only show the sterling part, forget it for me. Case in point - the I "heart" you bead. The gold heart is on one side of the four sided cube shaped bead. This means that 75% of the time you don't see the gold. Don't think I've ever looked down and seen the gold heart actually! Bummer.

Even the cute purse charm with the 14K handle flips and no 14K shows. Oy vey. So then I saw the shoelaces bead. It has gold all the way around it but I thought the "Xs" were kisses! LOL. Didn't realize they were shoelaces until later. I even thought to myself - wouldn't a matching "Os" bead for hugs be wonderful?:p

Have any of you US ladies seen this in shops yet. I have been everywhere and no one has it. The closest I have come to it is the matching earrings at a silver dealer gift shoppe. I struck out at 2 company stores. I am leary to order online because I dont want to order it than get that dreaded its on backorder email.

I love getting great deals on ebay, but sellers who claim to sell authentic pandora charms that are obviously fake really piss me off. You can really spot the fake murano's! I just discovered that I can report counterfit listings!

Here is one fake seller, I've gotten some listings removed already! beadsluvs ( Feedback Score Of 0 )

Do a search for "authentic pandora" murano -fit -fits -usa -troll, spot the fakes and REPORT them! Here is another one... fabubeads. claims they are hand made at Pandora's factory in THAILAND!

I receive e-mail alerts from e-bay for " authentic pandora 14k beads. " More often than not, the beads are obviously fake. My favorite one " authentic 14k silver murano beads" & the pictures are of the real 14k muranos. !?! The muranos are either silver or gold, not both! How can they get away with such blatant fraud? Those sellers really make me  !

I know, if it wasn't so maddening, it would be funny, seeing 14K gold pandora marked 925 ALE instead of 525 for the gold. I've even seen gold plated!

I receive email alerts for "authentic pandora beads." too. I have not purchased one yet on eBay. I'm such a skeptic!

I do think the bead listings that include the number of the bead from the catalogue have more credence. What do you all think?

So to bump this thing up, I will tell you that I figured out a new way to use the double leather bracelet! I was doing a little Pandora recon today and thankfully the place that I shop has the best people, and they love Pandora!

Natch, I had to try some things on, and always I'm looking to maximize the use of these bracelets.. Sometimes I just go in to get some ideas, and tweak at the store.
Today I thought, do I need a necklace to attach to my bracelet?? I can use my double gray bracelet as the attachment to my Black and White bracelet!! :yahoo: Looks cute! I guess I can also take all the charms off my other bracelet and then hook those together..but in the interest of time and $$, I will try this for a while! I did buy a couple of beads...couldn't resist.

May I ask, do you ever wear your bracelet as a necklace??

Oh and PS I got the promotional wine kit with purchase of $100 at my Pandora Store, it's a nice set; opener, wine foil cutter, and decorative wine stopper. I would rather have been able to get a free bead of equal or lesser value......Suggestion box!

Yes, that is a good sign. I look at the picture of the bead on ebay and compare it to one's in the catalog. Murano's seem to be the most copied, and they are very different designs. Also, i look at ALL the beads a seller is selling. If they don't ALL look authentic, then probably none are, kwim? I've seen some sites where they have a couple of close looking knockoffs, but then others are ridiculous. Where are they located? Forget Hong Kong, or Pandora's "factory in Thailand". I also search used charms, for people that need to sell their beads for one reason or another. someone selling a few charms from their own collection, used, is not going to have access to close looking knockoffs!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question, my mum gave me $50 for my birthday a few weeks ago and wanted to buy a pandora bead, does anyone have any ideas what bead would suit? I have 2 bracelets, one pink and one bluey, green colour. thanks

Hi Kylie. How nice of your Mom. What about using the money towards a bead that signifies your birthday? The birthday cake one, the cupcake one, your birthstone, your sign of the zodiac....

Or maybe a bead that signifies your Mom? Something with a heart or love or her birthstone.

Or even the present one since it was a birthday gift from your Mom?
