But I don't have a bracelet, per se. I like to make new ones all the time. Right now I have a lovely one with amber/yellow/orange Murano, a couple of gold/silver, some quartz, with the remainder in silver beads. It looks great.

I'm working on a second one right now, in pink and lime green. I can't decide if the enamels make it look garish, so I'm just going to string it all up and see how it goes.

This thread has given me the idea that I should take a picture of each of my bracelets when I make them, in case I decide to recreate them. Too bad I didn't twig to this idea earlier on. Going for the camera now.

I'm the same way, I change my bracelet every couple days. I only have two bracelets. I keep one with retired beads and change that out occasionally with other retireds. My other bracelet I change with the wind so to speak. I might pick out colors that will go with my scrubs that i wear to work that week, etc. It's so much fun

I love playing with my beads. I feel like a dragon, gloating over its hoard -- and like a dragon, I would know if any of my beads was missing (in case any hobbits got the idea to sneak in while I'm sleeping, and nick one).

But still, I'm thinking that eventually I'll want some permanent bracelets. The designs I've seen that work the best (for me) are the ones that have multiple versions of the same beads strung together in repeats. I saw a gorgeous purple/amethyst one in the store yesterday, made of purple murano (all the same), silver spacers, and multiple silver beads with purple stones, again, all the same. Fabulous. Some of my designs have been more successful than others, and again, they're the ones that are heavily unified in some way. So I'm buying multiples of at least two of some of my existing coloured beads, looking ahead to the permanent pieces.

Actually, I'm going out now to buy a third pink and a third green enamel to balance my pink/lime green bracelet, as well as a fourth cream/tan Murano. My favourite bracelet is the cream/tan Murano with gold/silver accent beads. It will be the first permanent one. It's lovely, and it goes with almost everything.

Can anyone help me figure out how to post pictures? I took some yesterday, but I don't know anything about sizing and attaching pix to a forum post.

For those that have or are planning to buy the lariat. I had a duh moment this morning. I bought the lariat when we went on vacation to a ranch (get the connection?). I never got a chance to play with it until today. I was totally dumfounded about how to get the beads on. The one end fit through the bead, but I could not get the other end through with the one end in. I figured I would just ask at the pandora store today. Thank goodness, my brain unfroze. DUH, you bend the leather in the middle and slip the beads on from there. I would have been so embarrassed. LOL

cyndiinphilly, don't feel too bad, I'm hoping to get one next month for our wedding anniversary and I'm sure I would have done the same thing, probably thinking I'd got a dud one.lol. So thanks for the tip.

Fortunately the sales clerk in the store I bought my lariat in showed me how to load it up, or I would've been flummoxed myself. In fact, she made apoint of showing me, which leads me to believe this is a common problem.

I am not a "colour" person and my bracelet is two tone. However I do love this bracelet posted on page 9 of this thread. I think the buttery yellow looks lovely with the gold. Even if all your beads are two tone (no solid gold one's) it will still make the gold "pop"

Thank you! I'm so happy with how my two toned came out. :yahoo:

I wasn't partial to the buttery yellow at all. Didn't even look twice at it. But when it came time to add some colour I was going to go with pink but it was throwing me for some reason.

What I wanted was more of brown look (thankfully there will be brown wooden beads in the fall!) so I took a peek at the creamy yellow and loved the way it looked with the two toned beads.

It is so hard to choose!

I'm thinking of getting a few green ones. The green (another colour I don't care for) looks amazing with the two toned charms and solid gold. :graucho:

I was at the local mall today and Helzberg Jewelery has their own take on the charm bracelet. I really liked the sparkly beads that they have.

I just saw those the other day. I like their glass beads and the sparkly ones as well. They have a brown wavy glass one I like a lot.

The prices aren't that much less than Pandora.

I haven't posted in a couple weeks. SO many new and wonderful bracelets and bead inspirations!

I LOVE the fish/water combination bracelet and the cat themed ones. All of them!

Michelemental - I absolutely love your Pandora bracelets - both the silver and the yellow two-tone one above.

I'm just starting my creation and I have decided that I want to go for a two-tone combination featuring some champagne CZ stones and white glass muranos to make it neutral. I'm now wishing I saw your yellow bracelet before I bought a white murano as it looks amazing and really brings out the gold in your beads.

I'm loving this Pandora thread - so much information!!

Michelemental, your bracelet is fabulous, and is pretty much how I want mine to come out. That is, if I ever really do make a permanent one. Thoough that means I'll have to buy one more cream Murano. I have a brown one with a heart that goes well with the cream as a centre bead, but I really like the look of the five cream Muranos. Very nice.

I had a moment of inspiration tonight and made a pink and black one. I LOVE it!

I've taken several photos and have, in fact, started a photo album of my more successful designs so that I can recreate them quickly. So far I've made three in the last two days that were definitely worth the effort -- my pink and lime green, just for fun, my cream and brown Murano, and now the pink and black one.

Nelly4, I've seen some gorgeous bracelets made with the cream Murano combined with the white Murano, and they are as lovely as the ones made with just the cream Murano. They look quite similar to MichElemental's, but a bit more subtle. So don't worry that you made a mistake.

I had a moment of panic earlier today, wondering just what I'd done buying all these expensive beads (I have a lot!) and castigating myself for plunging into this without a game plan. But I've been checking out jeweller's websites that have pictures of made-up bracelets, and realized that with some imagination you can make some wonderful and unusual things. With what I have I can make an almost endless range of bracelets, from elegant and formal to quirky and fun.

'Course, my partner is going to have to cough up the cash for the gold beads. But then he makes more money than I do.:D

So how do I insert a picture into my posts? I can't figure it out.

Hello Fellow Pandora Addicts :smile1:

This is my first time posting on this forum, but I must admit that I have been reading the posts here for a little while now. I came across this forum through a Google search, and it has been fun to read through many of the posts, see the pictures of your fabulous bracelets, and be inspired by your ideas and tips.

I am fairly new to Pandora jewelry. My husband was going to buy me a Pandora bracelet a few weeks ago, but the local jewelry store didn't have the right size. I ended up getting some of the beads I wanted, then I went back later and got a silver necklace (lobster clasp). I am really enjoying the necklace, and I change up the beads I wear on it every day or two.

There are two Pandora retailers near where I live, and both are having a trunk show the same week in September. Along with the trunk show is the offer to get a free lobster clasp bracelet with $100 purchase (or upgrade to the bead clasp for $15). I figure that I can wait another couple weeks to get a bracelet! While waiting, though, I have taken a liking to the oxidized bracelet, along with the plain sterling silver one. I figure the only solution is to get one of each. ;)

I have a question for those of you who have had an oxidized bracelet for awhile. Does the finish wear off in time? Is there anything you particularly like or dislike about the oxidized finish as compared to the sterling silver bracelet?

Thanks for letting me join in.

Heyy ClioD welcome to pandora! I have the oxidised bracelet and think that after a while the oxidation does wear off but mine is still fine after 2 years so i would definitely reccommend getting it and they look great together. :)

Lillia - When you say cream murano do you mean the white on in 14ct gold that looks cream or do you think I could mix the white with the yellow ones like Michelemental has in hers?? I'm not sure so will have to go to the jewellers to have a look.

I think I am addicted to Pandora and I've only had my bracelet for a week!! I have 10 beads already as I purchased 3 more yesterday - the Champagne Oval lights, the silver & gold love blouse and I got a silver heart for free! My birthday is on Sep 8 so hoping I get another charm from my fiance (I hinted I wanted the I Love You square bead). I know Mum is getting me the 2 tone safety chain. If anyone else asks me what I want I'm just going to ask for a voucher from the Pandora shop or just pick out a few silver charms that I want to get.:D

Wow this thread has grown:) As well as everyones collection lol
I finally started on my 2nd bracelet.I had always wanted a blue theme one...but I found that I didnt like the look of blue with 2 tone beads,so I ended up with the yellow beads on it. Soooo I finally decided to go for my blue, and to really make this bracelet "meaningful".

Every bead really will represent something in my life, that was the plan with my 2 tone...but I ended up carried away & just wanting it balanced & pretty lol.

Yesterday I picked up 5 beads at my local shop to get me motivated, & Im expecting a bunch more in the next day or so:yahoo: Im on a roll again & its so much fun!!

So I just wanted to share:) Ive got another blue bubbles, some small oval lights,& some blue spacers coming...then Ill see what else I need to tweak:graucho:
