I am new to the Pandora style bracelets , just ordered a bracelet on Ebay ( not Pandora) and sorry to ask a dumb question, but are the beads all standard sizes? I don't want to order beads and then have them not fit. I have to shop on ebay because I'm looking for the best prices.
Thanks in advance.

all the beads do not fit all the bracelets. Also, be very careful who you purchase from. there are tons of fakes out there

I bought the "opener" also, but I found a guitar pick works the best. I went to a guitar store, told them what I wanted the pick for and they gave me 2 free and said if I needed anymore come on back. It works great!

I find the corners of a credit/store card work very well as an opener for your bracelet and because its plastic is gentle on the metal as well. I like the fact that the bracelets are tight to close, it means that they are safe from falling open accidentally IMO.

I saw this thread, thought about myself, fell of my chair laughing, and had to sign up!

I'm a relatively new Pandora addict. I originally asked my partner to buy me one last Christmas; I saw it advertised (Rainbow design) in a local jewellery store. He called the store, was informed that they didn't sell completed bracelets, and that the cost of a bracelet could run from about $600.00 Canadian to $7,000.00 He only heard the $7,000.00 part, so I didn't get my bracelet.

A month after Christmas, while browsing in a high-end clothing store around the corner from my office, I saw the Pandora display, and immediately bought myself a bracelet and filled it with beads, based on pink Murano. I later decided it was blah, bought more beads in different Murano, bought another bracelet, and so it went.

I now have four or five beads of all the Murano colours except purple and blue (and those are next), tons of silver beads, and quite a few spacers, enamels and even a few silver and gold beads.

Man, did they ever see me coming.:p

But I don't have a bracelet, per se. I like to make new ones all the time. Right now I have a lovely one with amber/yellow/orange Murano, a couple of gold/silver, some quartz, with the remainder in silver beads. It looks great.

I'm working on a second one right now, in pink and lime green. I can't decide if the enamels make it look garish, so I'm just going to string it all up and see how it goes.

This thread has given me the idea that I should take a picture of each of my bracelets when I make them, in case I decide to recreate them. Too bad I didn't twig to this idea earlier on. Going for the camera now.

Um, what does Kendalldew mean?

Also, does anyone know how durable the bracelets and clips are? I'm very careful with them, but the way I use them, they do get restrung all the time, after all. It looks like a quality product, which is why I'm willing to invest so much in it, but all the same, I'd hate to wreck it.

kendelldew is an ebayer that many of us buy beads from. Her prices are fair and she is reliable. Only posts once a week or so and sells out quickly!

re: durability, I have one Pandora bracelet that is at least 4 years old and I've never had a problem with it!

Izzy's Mom, Thanks.

I do worry that I'm stressing the clips (by that I mean the fixed beads that go over the three dividers) by opening and closing them all the time. Fortunately they're the least expensive.

This Pandora stuff is a lot of fun. My lime green and pink bracelet is pretty, very lighthearted.

I've seen some gorgeous bracelets here, ladies. I think the ones that have a repeating theme are the most successful. Most of mine are unified through the use of Murano, though I branched out a bit today and bought some pink and green enamels. I made an all-silver one the other day that had four scarlet Muranos spaced evenly, and it was a doozy -- went with my white and red shirt.

I've taken pictures of my current two bracelets. Someday I'll work out how to post them.
