my bestie had that silver one with the lobster claw.
her boyfriend gave it to her for her 16th birthday last year with the gold love bouquet and the silver angel.
she filled it up about 14 charms and one day while she was out she came back home it wasnt on her wrist.
so over a thousand dollars, including that love bouquet was lost. she never found it after that but she thinks the claw was too weak for the bracelet to hold.
the clasp really does provide more protection that the lobster claw and my friend isnt the only one who has told me that.
when i went to buy mine they recomended a clasp lock and all the workers there had clasps too. come to think of it, i never saw someones bracelet that had the claw.
its pretty weak and could easily become loose or snap. especially if your going to fill it up.
my friend didnt have the safety chain which would help you out but i still wouldnt risk it since it could easily catch on something.
Thank you for the info, that just made the decision for me, another clasp bracelet it is then

I can't imagine how completely and utterly devastated i'd be if i ever lost any of mine, apart from a couple of beads, none are particularly sentimental, but still, the money, the time, the love i've put into them...safety chains are a must!!
Oh, and on the subject, you'll have to let us know if anyone claims the HCA bead!
