For those of you with the leather bracelets, can you comment on how you like wearing them? I'm wondering if the charms slide around or if the bracelet twists with the weight of a few charms. When I first began collecting beads on my metal bracelet, the bracelet had a tendency to slide underneath my wrist, requiring constant adjustment.....

Steph...I did have a leather bracelet, and the beads constantly lived underneath my wrist, and it did bug me - no one, including myself, ever got to see my gorgeous beads. But i figured that wouldn't be a problem once i filled it up. However, I did find out that (thanks to someone on here :smile1:) you cant fill up a leather bracelet, it wont take the weight and Pandora only recommend six (correct me if i'm wrong...its roughly that number) beads on it. Hence, the beads will always live out of sight.
I really wasn't happy with the idea of that, so I re-sold the leather, and i'm planning on replacing it with another silver one.

But that's just me! Maybe someone else will love them more than i did!

Actually, i have a question...I have the silver clasp fastening bracelet, and the oxidised silver one, also clasp fastening, and i'm looking for a new one...does anyone have the lobster clip fastening one? Any opinions on it either way?? I quite like the idea of all three bracelets being different in some way, and not just because of the beads on it!! :thinkin:

Hi everyone,

I recently found this forum and I've been reading it for the past few days... I'm lovin' it :)
I'm from Portugal (so... forgive my english mistakes, I'm better at talking and understanding than writing! Please correct me...) and I'm 19 years old.

I recived my pandora bracelet, from my boyfriend, when I turned 18 yo, and that was 1 year ago since my birthday is on November 29th.

This year, on my birthday, he gave me the pandora pink leather bracelet. I'm wearing it alone, I like to see it that way next to the silver one on my wrist.

I'm building my bracelet based on beads that represent really special moments for me (high school prom, joined college, drive's license - this will be my next bead since I've my exame this month,...).
My boyfriend also offered me some hearts, my friends offered me what they've called the "friendship stone" and some of my relatives also gave me some beads. That way, I've beads that represent the most important persons in my life!

Does anyone built theire own bracelet like this?

Thanks :)

so i took the hca hat to the jewlers and asked the manager if he thought it was real. hes been working there for 20 years and i guess he was there in 2005 when they came out. so yes its real and he says its a rare retired bead :amuse:
i tried it on my bracelet but idk...its not really fitting in with my charms. i usually just have meaningful silver charms and im not sure about this one.

Miss Chrisi,

Since you don't care for the 'found' charm, I would suggest you try to locate the rightful owner. Most communities have a Craigslist. You can go online and list the charm as 'found' under the jewelry section. Allow any responders to describe the charm and you'll know you've found the rightful owner.

I mention this because this summer I lost my diamond watch and the person who found it posted it on Craigslist and I was able to recover it. It has sentimental value and I was very grateful that the gal that found it took the time to post a 'found' ad instead of keeping it. Just my 02cents worth.....;)

my bestie had that silver one with the lobster claw.
her boyfriend gave it to her for her 16th birthday last year with the gold love bouquet and the silver angel.
she filled it up about 14 charms and one day while she was out she came back home it wasnt on her wrist.
so over a thousand dollars, including that love bouquet was lost. she never found it after that but she thinks the claw was too weak for the bracelet to hold.
the clasp really does provide more protection that the lobster claw and my friend isnt the only one who has told me that.
when i went to buy mine they recomended a clasp lock and all the workers there had clasps too. come to think of it, i never saw someones bracelet that had the claw.
its pretty weak and could easily become loose or snap. especially if your going to fill it up.
my friend didnt have the safety chain which would help you out but i still wouldnt risk it since it could easily catch on something.

thats a good idea.
i can just say found pandora charm.
im not even sure if the person notices the missing charm and im suprised if a charm fell off that the whole bracelet didnt.
well if theyre anything like me then they would notice one of their charms was missing :p

Well, if the person who lost the bead realizes it and it's important to them, they'll check the local paper and Craigslist. Since it's a single bead, I wonder if it was loose in someone's pocket or handbag? Also imagine, if your bracelet broke in public and you were scrounging all over the ground, it's quite possible that you would miss a bead and not even realize it. Either way, at least make an effort to locate the owner of the bead before you offer it up for sale. This is the motherly advice I would give my children because it's the ethical thing to do and reflects directly on one's character.

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now :D
