Hi everyone!

I just started a bracelet this weekend, and I'm excited to fill it up! I have the owl, giraffe, teapot, pineapple, and two clips on my bracelet currently. However, I am now having qualms about my bracelet length, and wonder whether the store I purchased it from might allow me to swap it. Is it better to err on the side of a larger bracelet?

For reference, my wrist measures at 6 inches, so I was told by the store to purchase a 7.1 bracelet. Thanks!

SuLi,

Congrats on your new bracelet! I also have a small wrist and have gotten a 7.1 bracelet. Size all depends on what you want. Mine is half way full and still moves freely up and down my arm. If you want to be able to roll it off your wrist instead of undoing the clasp, then you may want a buy a larger bracelet. Most stores allow for you to swap your bracelets if you really want a larger size, but it's truly personal preference. I feel that the 7.1 is probably the best size for people with small wrist like myself because it still gives me about a 2 finger room and as you grow your bracelet, you won't have as much space due to the size of the beads. I hope that helps.

And push comes to shove, you can always start a second one that's bigger once you finish with your first bracelet :graucho:

My wrist is just a hair smaller than 7" and my bracelet is 7.9. The next size up they had was an 8.3, which was HUGE and almost fell off when it was empty, but now that my bracelet is getting full I'm sort of wishing I'd gone with the bigger one. I don't think they make an 8.1" but that would be perfect for me. It doesn't seem like one little centimeter would make such a big difference, but it does once you get those beads on!

My wrist is a 5.75-6 depending on heat index and my bracelet is 7.5”. The bracelet itself is Troll and the charms are mixed between Pandora and Troll.
The bracelet is full and it fits perfectly now -finished today :yahoo:- but it was definitely too big with only a few charms. It wasn’t big enough to slip off my wrist, but it was big enough to slide to my first thumb joint (the second joint back from the nail).

I started another bracelet this evening and will gather at least 6 charms before attempting to wear it... once again, the 7.5 is too large. That being said, I don't wait too long to fill my bracelets. I am too impatient!!!

Here is my bracelet...

Good news! I went to a locally authorized Pandora store to ask about the bracelet sizes. They told me that they would be able to exchange my bracelet from a 7.1 to a 7.5! I was originally going to send it back to the store where I had purchased it while I was out of town last weekend. The local SA told me that Pandora authorized stores are allowed to accept exchanges on the bracelets since people often gift them and miscalculate size, regardless of where it was purchased so long as the store is an authorized seller. I was able to exchange, and of course, purchased a couple of new things. I think I need to stop purchasing for myself and strongly suggest to loved ones that I would love some charms for my birthday next month. They are INCREDIBLY addictive! So hard to stop!

FLGirlfm - your bracelet is soooooo pretty - I have the same clasp on mine and hope to get some of the same beads... I'm so jealous - You are so lucky to have it all finished : )))))

Hey TTOne - did you get to any trunk shows in the area lately? I'm holding off on new beads right now (self-ban due to the economy!) but I'm happy with my bracelet as is, so it doesn't matter.

I actually went to go get some of the new Pandora beads at some store in Willowbrook (near my Grandma's) and ended up starting a Troll bracelet - they were having a trunk show and if you bought 5 beads you got a bracelet free - I was suckered into it - but I relaly like it - Now the dilema is I have 2 different bracelets I wanted filled : ))))) I will be poor!!!!!

There are tons of pretty Troll beads on eBay...

I have to say it's lucky for me that I'm not in love with the Pandora Fall beads, well maybe just one or two... otherwise I'd be broke. At least there's something to put on my list this year for my husband... although I'm afraid if he shops and sees what they cost, he'll wonder how much I spent on my bracelet!
