We haven't purchased anything in about 2 years. This whole thing is such a turnoff. Buying a luxury item should be fun, not like a scavenger hunt!
I haven’t purchased anything in over a year because every damn thing I have wanted has been out of stock. About 3-4 months ago I just sorta quit LV and haven’t been in this forum much. They have literally sucked all the fun out of it for me.

I find that trying to purchase item(s) from LV nowadays causes more frustration/annoyance than joy/excitement for myself at least.

I have been wanting to purchase a Pochette Accessoires NM for a while now. But its status is either call for availability or out of stock on the LV website. Also, this morning the LV CS Rep told me over the phone that it's going to be at least another 4-6 weeks before Pochette Accessoires NM gets back in stock, which I find to be so ridiculous. Especially since in about 6 weeks the holiday season would be over. This kind of operational/marketing/business strategy makes no sense to me at all. :wtf::wtf::wtf:
 
I relate to this this post sooo much! I got this text from my sa yesterday and my heart sank! And here I thought I was being smart and starting my shopping early ‍♀️ Lucky enough ONE of the items I wanted were in stock online..​

All year I've been telling my dh that I want a new LV for Christmas. Here we are, 1 week to Thanksgiving and every bag I would consider is OOS!

I would love the Graceful with the hot pink lining, the speedy 30, the siena. All OOS!

Going to the store just isn't a possibility. The closest is 2 hours away and I my husband is not a high-end shopper. lol He prefers to just order online.
Call the customer service line and have them locate what you want. Stores were shipped to your house. If you don’t have a history with Louis Vuitton that’s more than 90 days old but less than a-year-old you’ll have to buy from a department store. I’ve purchased from both sax and Bloomingdale’s and I know that Neiman Marcus will ship too. I’ve been able to find pochette accessories And Bandeaus that are not available online.

Wow I guess I don’t understand why she can not order what you are asking for? My SA was able to. She did not even offer?

I ended just up just letting her know that I was going to get it ordered to the store and pick it up, my sa is the store manager so since they were really busy my guess is that she didn't think of it.
 
I went ahead and created a wish list on the website with everything I would consider buying. Probably once or twice a day I click through to see if anything changes to available. Yesterday I was able to score a Mono Shoulder strap which immediately went back to call for availability after I had put it in my cart. So every so often one of something will come in and if you're there at the right time it will be yours!
 
It's a marketing thing for sure..

If you have a relationship with an SA, things are so obtainable but even with that, there's a tier of who gets to have at it first based upon your purchase history...

Sad but it's a luxury goods business trend of the ages..get it while it's hot game...

So many accessories I regret not jumping on it quick..ughhh

My hope is low for the Kirigami right now..sighhh
 
My suggestion to every one is if you have a regular SA (the best way) then order through her/him. If you do not and a store is willing to place an order for with the requirement of a payment now - do so. Also bag delivery will run about two weeks. Just so everyone knows I was in LV today speaking with my SA who is a manager and she stated the bag “quote” shortage will get worse. You can call customer service and Twitter all day but they are instructed to just say bags are currently out of stock and there is no time frame of when they will be replenished. They will direct you to a boutique who has the item but no more online ordering for bags that state call for availability or out of stock - even with giving your credit card. Even getting boutiques to transfer bags will not happen because they are all experiencing the same thing. Sorry I cannot go into more details as this was what I was allowed to say and promised. Getting canvas bags is going to be very difficult to say the least. Another choice is to stalk the website as they will periodically become available.
