Out of stock of everything!

All year I've been telling my dh that I want a new LV for Christmas. Here we are, 1 week to Thanksgiving and every bag I would consider is OOS!

I would love the Graceful with the hot pink lining, the speedy 30, the siena. All OOS!

Going to the store just isn't a possibility. The closest is 2 hours away and I my husband is not a high-end shopper. lol He prefers to just order online.

Maybe this is why I saw a DE Pochette on a resale site for $650 ☹️
I’m sure they will be restocking soon...losing out on holiday sales because of low stock is not what they want

If you have purchased from LV recently (I think they define that as within the past year), you can call the 866 number and they will look up stock and locate the stores that have the item. They will then usually call the store for you and connect you to a SA there. That's how I found my hubby's wallet that's was being discontinued. There were only two left in the US, but they were able to locate one for me and I purchased over the phone and the store shipped it right to me!

We haven't purchased anything in about 2 years. This whole thing is such a turnoff. Buying a luxury item should be fun, not like a scavenger hunt!

I'm in the exact same boat! My husband has asked me to pick a bag for Christmas, so I'm debating between a few different choices in Damier Ebene (Graceful MM, Neverfull MM, Duomo hobo, Siena GM, Caissa hobo, Speedy B 35, Alma MM, Kensington, Flandrin.) Five are out of stock and the Caissa is "call for availability." The Graceful was my original choice, but it's been in & out of stock so much I had to pick backups. LOL.

So frustrating. I'm hoping with Christmas coming up, things will start coming back into stock or they are going to lose a lot of potential holiday sales.

I agree that if you can't get to a store in person, you will have to call in and see if you can get in touch with a store that has the item and can ship it for you.

Is it just me or does anyone else hate calling the store and giving a random on the other end their credit card number. Actually I'm not going to. I will just buy some other bag from a brand that has stock.

In such cases I usually make a bank transfer: it takes few days but I find this the safest solution.

I am looking for a few bags at the moment that are showing out of stock. I have recent purchase history and have called to check availability around the country. A large percentage of the most common bags are sold out all over the US. I have purchased numerous LV's in the past 3-4 months. Most of those items were shipped to me from all over the country due to low inventory levels. This has been a good thing for me as I now have SA contacts in several states. During my quest, I have had lengthy conversations with countless sales associates about the lack of inventory. I have been told on several occasions that many of the more common bags showed upcoming shipments but looking into the future they showed discontinued. I will not go into further detail because I have seen other members be scolded and belittled on this forum for posting their opinion about discontinued items. I was advised to purchase my items as the lack of availability was known to the SA's who were willing to search upcoming shipments. I am grateful for the purchases I did make and I am hopeful that all of these items will be returned to stock for the holidays, but personally I am not counting on it. Should these items return to stock, I would suggest purchasing immediately. I believe the lack of availability for the past several months is a tell tale sign that there may be some shocking changes on the way. Again, this is just my opinion, but sadly, we all know LV is promoting the $2000+ leather items at this time. The lack of inventory is very frustrating for the customer.
I certainly wish everyone the best of luck in their search for a sold out item at this time!

Thank you for this detailed information. Wow... it's just hard to believe they may be phasing out some very popular canvas bags. It would explain the crazy high (over retail) prices I'm seeing on some of the resale sites though. :(

Any idea which bags in canvas .

I just ordered the graceful mm so it does show up on the website. I was checking a lot but the kirigami I have not seen yet available online....

That's great!! Congrats on finding the Graceful, it is a beautiful bag! I hope you will do a reveal for us!

I was fortunate enough to find something on the website yesterday. It's quite thrilling. However, with the "call for availability" changing to "out of stock" on so many items, I can't help but wonder if they are gathering the last of the items from the warehouse and in stores and putting something on the website for us every now and then until they are gone. I feel like these occasional finds are teasers.. I for one am still checking the website for several items I'd like to buy, but I also view the new bags. Maybe this is LV's strategy - keep us looking at everything. I would be thrilled if the items I am looking for are restocked for the holidays. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sure.

I am not trying to start rumors here, but luxury goods are business and behind every business is a marketing strategy. For businesses, the one controllable expense is labor. If SA's are no longer tied up searching for the rarely available items at the $1000 price point, then LV can accurately assess how many employees they really need for the $2000+ bags they are pushing. I sincerely hope this is not the case.

I can say this... I feel like I am not an Easter Egg Hunt and when I find something, I pay for it immediately. Whatever Louis Vuitton is trying to accomplish, they have me spending quite a bit of money with immediate purchases. I'm sure I am not alone.
For now... YOU WIN Louis Vuitton!! LOL!

Enjoy your new Graceful bag!

I too am stalking the website and calling around to get the last few items I hope to obtain.

I appreciate your input! I can find the majority of items I want online but a few I have not been able to get...I also put in a request with my SA....it’s alot of time checking the website to see if these items are available as I really don’t like doing charge sends....I wasn’t aware of members getting scolded about discontinued items, I think it’s useful info.....
