Literally everything I have on my Christmas wishlist is now saying currently out of stock [emoji30][emoji30] I really hope they have a full restock before Xmas

I'm in the same boat as you. My husband asked me to pick out a bag for Christmas, and I have 6 or 7 I'm going between, and they're all either "call for availability" or "currently out of stock." It's quite frustrating. I hope once I make up my mind or at least narrow down to a couple, my local store has some stock.

I appreciate your input! I can find the majority of items I want online but a few I have not been able to get...I also put in a request with my SA....it’s alot of time checking the website to see if these items are available as I really don’t like doing charge sends....I wasn’t aware of members getting scolded about discontinued items, I think it’s useful info.....

I don't think you should be overly concerned about a charge send. The online customer service rep will transfer you to a store that has the item you are looking for. (should you be lucky enough to find one) A sales associate in that store will take your card information and mail you the bag. It's really no different than going on vacation and buying from a Louis Vuitton store in a different city. Card theft can happen anywhere, but Louis Vuitton is reputable. I might suggest that you call your credit card company in advance and tell them you will be making a purchase a from Louis Vuitton and it will be from a store that is out of your area. Your cred card company will appreciate the heads-up for their fraud department and they may contact you prior to the purchase going through. I get a text message from my card company asking if I am the one making the purchase.
In my opinion Louis Vuitton is far less risky than other retailers. Good luck with your decision. I hope you get your bag!

During my quest, I have had lengthy conversations with countless sales associates about the lack of inventory. I have been told on several occasions that many of the more common bags showed upcoming shipments but looking into the future they showed discontinued.

Thank you so much for this info; do you know how far into the future that is? I'm hoping to get a Graceful as soon as it comes back in stock; do we have this holiday season to wait for one at least, or is this possible discontinuation happening very soon?

I will preface this with ...This is just my personal opinion. The Graceful is relatively new and I would venture to say that that it will be restocked in the near future. The crazy thing is that it seems there are fewer and fewer canvas bags being produced. I believe there are few Graceful MM bags in stores around the country as I inquired about this bag recently as well. Do you have a log-in with the LV website? If so, this will expedite your purchase should one become available on the website. Assuming you have made a purchase in the last 12 months and you decide you are willing to do a charge send, the 1-866 customer service reps will transfer you to a store that has the bag. I wish you all the best in your search for the Graceful. It's certainly OK to be a website stalker! Best wishes and good luck!

Even in stores, everything is pretty much out of stock. I was able to hit four LV stores a few days ago and every single piece I was shopping for was out of stock. Certain pieces even got the response of "I haven't seen it in months" from multiple stores :(

NOTHING on my LV Christmas List is available on LV site and we don't have a store in our city. It appears the entry level (reasonably) priced bags have been scooped up. I will NOT be forced to buy an expensive bag just to have another one for Christmas. Not playing their game. Looks like I might have to wait till after the holidays to get what I want. So an IOU (from Santa) is just fine with me :)

The best thing to do right now for those unavailable bags is to order through your SA if you have one - with wait time still a couple of weeks out. In realizing some people do not have a regular SA unfortunately giving your credit card number is the second best way. Unfortunately as the holidays approach it is not going to be any easier purchasing so linking with an SA is your best bet. Items such as the Kirigami is a hot item with a 500 US wide wait list and they have already hiked the price from 600 to 660 because of demand - so paying for that one up front was best before it increased in price (advice from my SA). Not to mention it is a very very good time to off load some things by selling if people are wanting to do that. Crazy when sold a bag for well over retail - as some people are not wanting to stalk the site or wait. Things priced on eBay right now are crazy!

Am I the only one who think it's funny that a couple of years ago people were complaining that LV is saturating the market with too many flashy monogram bags and that they are everywhere, and they should be "more prestigious" like Hermès and Chanel that offer "REAL LEATHER" instead of cheap canvas. Now that LV are making more leather options and the monogram are cool again, everyone is buying up the cheap one and then complain that "OMG I want my entry level monogram bag, why are they out of stock?" and "I'll not be forced to buy expensive leather bags"

A representative on the phone said they are limiting stock to make LV more exclusive—he cited the Neverfull as an example. i told him i think that ship had sailed since it’s the most ubiquitous bag out there. It’s kind of weird.

No kidding. This is the bag I see out there the most...all that will happen if they are limiting stock on the most popular canvas bags is make this holiday season a boon for the resale market.

I’m familiar with charge sends as I have done them in the past. The hold time to reach customer service is long and my last charge send I had an issue with being disconnected from the store a few times when I was transferred. For me , I just rather buy online than do a charge send.

If your willing to go to the store, call them first and let them know if they can order one for you, especially you are serious of purchasing one. The associates should be willing to help you out.

That was an interesting and accurate observation. Years ago, LV didn't give us much of a choice for new designs in their entry level bags. They do now. (Note the Speedy Bandouliere has been updated with a few tweaks.) And possibly a new generation has discovered that LV is a better investment than Coach :) As you know, there is almost twice the price difference between the canvas and the leather and we didn't realize how pricey they would be... BTW, I just saw the Iena PM and MM are back on the USA LV site. $1270 & $1430...I wish I could afford to pay $2400 for an all leather bag. Sigh....

We haven't purchased anything in about 2 years. This whole thing is such a turnoff. Buying a luxury item should be fun, not like a scavenger hunt!

I haven’t purchased anything in over a year because every damn thing I have wanted has been out of stock. About 3-4 months ago I just sorta quit LV and haven’t been in this forum much. They have literally sucked all the fun out of it for me.
