The stock seems to be random... Last month I was on the site to find something to ask my friend to help me buy in France (they were going to Paris) and everything I wanted was in stock online (Favorite PM, Pallas clutch, Mini Pochette, Pochette Metis). Then my friends told me that that the stuff I wanted was sold out there (they managed to get me the mini Pochette in Mono) and then the site went out of stock of everything as well! Talk about bad luck lol. Now I'm stalking the site everyday. I did manage to grab the Christmas Animation edition of the mini pochette in DA at least (it came back in stock for a day).
 
I was able to find a speedy b 30 after going to 2 different locations - someone had placed it in the wrong drawer and I just happened to have an SA who accidentally came across it. I was so excited to purchase it, but when I got home I realized that the handle tabs were sewn on crooked on one side! I had to take it back and order an exchange ... I have no idea how long it will take for the new one to arrive. I am so bummed.
 
If you have a regular SA you can always have her/him order what ever bag you are wanting to purchase. Or you can order from a store if you have purchased in the last year and have them send to you. I find that Vegas usually will have a lot more in stock in the boutique than most places. Not to mention Vegas also has many boutiques as well as inside stores such as Neimans.
 
I did call LV in Canada a few days ago looking for Azur Speedy 30, 25, in regular and b version and they said some will be back in stock in 2 weeks (regular speedy 30, 30 b, 25 b) and some in 3 weeks (regular 25). Hope that helps!

I have no idea why either... but LV has been like this for months, if not over a year..
Random things are suddenly out of stock.
Bags like the Pochette Metis are ALWAYS out of stock. Randomly ONE single bag pops up and as someone already said: if you are stalking the site enough, you might be lucky to get one.
That’s the way I got 3 Pochette Metis, one empreinte, two Mono.
A friend looked for the Lock Me 2 last year and she couldn’t get a hold of it, neither in the local store nor online and I was in the area of another LV store 4 hrs away from home and got it for her.. and I mean the Lock Me 2 didn’t even seem to be THAT popular..
But yeah... it’s quite a new occurring phenomenon.
I think a lot has to do with asiannmarkets like China, and the Arabian markets sky rocketing in demands for LV...
 
Does anyone know if a change in the item page from "Call for Availability" to "Place in Cart" has any bearing on orders which have already been placed? I'm having availability issues with a Koons Fragonard Speedy 30. I placed the order about a month ago and was told it was immediately available. I was billed, they said it would ship within the week. When I didn't receive a shipping notice, I messaged Client Services about a week and a half later and was told it was out of stock, it would be another week to three weeks. It's now been about a month. I checked back in again, and they said it could be another week to three weeks, however the item page on the site has changed to "Place in Cart" from "Call for availability". I would guess that outstanding web orders would be filled before new orders coming in, especially if they've already been billed?

It's like this on the UK website, 7 items bought this year has been through having to stalk the website 1am-3am got lucky that way, but then end up looking like a panda in the morning. My friend bought the pallas clutch in navy online a month ago she stalked for 2 weeks to get it only to have a email to say its cancelled really gutted, she's been unlucky since. I've been trying to help her get it as I can hack staying up later and stalk the website. Now all the 4 colours aren't available and I'm kinda slowly turning into some zombie walking dead character :-s

Even though the sites are saying Call for Availibility, definitely try it. I called for availability on the Pallas clutch on October 27, and was advised that the production of the clutches were out of stock and were still being produced. The Client Services agent I spoke with advised they wouldn’t be done until 7 days after I ordered, at which point they would charge my card and ship the clutch out. My card was charged on October 30, and arrived in-store a few days later. I just now got around to picking it up yesterday. The other clutch I wanted, was the Favorite PM and when I asked about that one this week in speaking with a Client Services agent, they said they don’t expect availability for another 6-8 weeks minimum and I heard it’s backordered on top of that. Luckily I put myself on the waitlist through a Client Services agent a while back, but at least I have one of the things I wanted.

I'm not sure they can do it this way here in the UK. I asked instore if I could pay for a item they hadn't got a few months back but it wasn't discontinued or I could leave my card number for them to charge if they have it. But they refused. They can only request a bag in hope they will send them it. I've not tried this via the customer service on the phone. I will ring and ask them see if it's doable.
 
Sadly, for the more popular bags all you can do is to literally stalk the LV website daily and put the bags in the cart immediately when available. If you visit the store, there is no guarantee that they have the bags you are looking for available.
I was at the Flagship Store in Paris yesterday and wanted to take a look at the Alma BB in black epi - and it was not available either :sad:. I guess it´s even worse now with the Christmas Season.
