Oran sandals

Hi ladies
Do you have any tips for wearing the Oran so they don’t squeak when you walk? I’d love to get a pair, but when I tried them on in store they made that squeaky sound that I hate so much. I found the same problem with all sandals and shoes with open heel ☹️

Another Oran question - I’d like to get a pair to wear on my upcoming honeymoon to a beach resort in the Caribbean. Anyone use theirs near sand/water? How have they held up? Or is this perhaps not a great place to wear them?

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! My Orans (both gold and black) have been fine in shallow dry sand, though light colors would become discolored if you do a lot of walking in the sand in them. I would highly discourage getting them wet. If you need a sandal that can get wet, check out the Aloha or Chain d'ancre Rivage.

Thank you for the input! Seems like the Orans would be better suited to walking about the resort but avoiding the pool/beach areas otherwise I’ll check out the other recommendations

I've definitely worn my patent leather ones on the beach, in water, rinsed them off, etc. They've held up just fine although I'm sure people would be mortified by this lol. I probably wouldn't do this with regular leather though.

I wore my orans all over Mexico in December (pool/beach area) and they were totally find. Minus dropping one in the pool, the leather should hold up haha! :)

hi guys, i just got my first pair of oran sandals in the color bois de santal. i just saw deep scratches after using it very lightly for less than 3 hours. can u guys let me whether it is normal? thanks a lot!
Unfortunately IMO that is "user error" dear... you must have hit a cement dip or something of that nature. I had that happen to a pair of Chanel sandals and was sad to see it. Sorry hun. Love that color though and plan to pick it up ASAP!

I have a fairly narrow foot and every time I've tried Orans, I feel like my foot slips a bit too far forward. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out a way to wear them without that happening? I love the Orans and would love to find a way to make it work. I have the Paris loafers, Manege, Santorini and Legend sandals which all work due to style or straps.

I have the exact same problem. My feet are narrow and slip right through. About once a year, I will try on a pair hoping that they’ve changed the sizing. But alas, no such luck.
