Anyone own the white colored Oran’s? If you do, how do you keep the footbed from getting dirty? Actually how do you keep it all from getting dirty?
My one and only pair is white - to me the only part that gets dirty is the footbed, and I use baby wipes to clean them as soon as they are worn because the more dirt that gets accumulated, the harder it is to clean. Funny story: I went to visit my parents for a recent holiday and they have live-in helpers. One morning I went to put on my Oran and they looked brand spanking new - it's obvious the kind helpers did a heck of a lot better job than I ever could LOL.

Hi ladies! I was wondering if any of you own (or have owned) both Birkenstocks and Orans. I am planning to gift a pair to a friend who wears sandals for medium-long walks and wears them even on the subway and I figured he might need a cool new pair.

The price and brand difference are not a problem, since it's supposed to be a "big" gift and my friend is into both designer and non-designer stuff, but I am just torn with the wearability given his needs.

Thank you all!

Hello everyone! I’m looking into getting a pair of Oran’s as a reward for achieving a financial goal in my business! I have narrow feet so I’m hoping they’ll fit nicely. I have a slightly daft question, do they make a flip flop noise when you walk in them?

No flip flop sounds when I'm wearing them.
A lovely reward for yourself & enjoy

I don't have a pair of white orans mainly because of my concern about it becoming dirtier than I would like.
I have 2 pairs of white H sandals (Oran and Karlotta) that get regular use in my sunny part of the globe. I don't treat them any differently than any other shoe and neither pair have ever gotten dirty to an extent that I feel a compulsion to clean them, either. Their insoles are the same taupe color as all my other H sandals, too, so really they are not any different than any other H sandals in that regard. All this to say: all shoes will succumb to wear and tear but the white H sandals are not delicate and can be worn and enjoyed just like any other H sandals.

I tried to respond to two posts at once and failed miserably! :amazed::biggrin:Here's my post, addressed to @hotshot and @labellavita27:

Hi,
Does anyone have any 'vintage' Orans, circa 2003 and were they without stitching on the leather 'H' bit at the top?
I can't seem to find a reference to these online through the various image searches.

Thank you very much.

On me, they made an awful "flip flop" sound while walking, especially on stairs. Perhaps mine were not the right size. Rehomed them and have not tried again.

Mine didn’t in the beginning but after wear it did. Only when walking up or down stairs. I have a 39.5 and the 39 was too small in length. I have slender feet as well. Hasn’t stopped me though, I have 3 pairs and will be getting a few more in other colors or crystal powder ones [emoji7]
