OHMYGOD! Thank you this was sooooo helpful. My feet measures 24.5 cm but I have super wide feet. So I think I might be better off with a 39 or 39.5 i think in the Orans!
As an update, I managed to go into the Hermes store and try the orans on for size and I am very very glad I did. I got the gold (tan) in Size 39 and it fits perfectly.

For reference, I'm a size 40 in the Amina Muaddi Begum Slingbacks and a Size 39 in the Dior J'adior slingbacks and a size 40 in the Gucci Rhyton Sneakers (although I could likely get away with a 39.5 in the Rhytons). I tend to have wide feet

Looking at your measurements then 25,5 cm should equal a true 39 EU size.

Also seeing the pictures, 40 is way too big.

I always got a wrong size from Oran Sandals. My foot measurement is 25.5 cm. I asked the SA FROM Hermes and asked advice what fits me in Oran. And they told me size 40. I got size 38 and 38.5 until I jumped to 40 and it was too big. I can't go to the store to have it try on since it's lockdown. Any help? I asked my brother to get another size. He got size 39.5 and I'm not sure yet if it fits. The SA in Hermes here in the Philippines were very maticulous of returning the item. BTW, I'm lockdown in the province and my brother is in Manila and he need to ship it to me and haven't try it on. My other references in shoe sizing is Chanel espadrilles is 39 and Chanel Ballerina flats.View attachment 5080636

Length however is a problem.

Not sure why, but 38 doesnt seem to fit me (length). Should I upsize to 8.5? 20220218_224650.jpgThanks!

I think so but I might take a look at the Santorinis. Your foot looks like it’s going to be too narrow for the next half size up, but you definitely need to go up in length. The Santorini will give you the same look but will stay on your feet w the strap.

Hi! I have the same problem. I am a 40 and lengthwise it is almost too short and depending on the type of leather great (suede) or like on your pictures ( I have the exakt same Orans) a little bit too wide around the foot. Please tell me if you have a solution. :hugs:

I’m a size 39 in most brands. However, when I got the Camelia it was a tad short but I still kept it because the strap fit was perfect and to this day most comfortable sandal I have with no ‘break in’ period. I think for the sandals with a footbed that‘s higher than the edge and with a straight cut at the heel’s edge (versus the Camelia’s flat footbed and rounded edge at the heel), I should go up half a size. I did that with the Amore and it was a perfect fit for length at 39.5— though I felt that the upper/strap was loose around the foot that I have to be mindful while walking. Note that some Orans have a design with a contrasting edge so I want that exposed and didn’t want my foot to cover it so I went another half size up. While it really looks attractive, I find that the shorter strap on the Oran makes it a little difficult to walk in. I feel conscious of my steps versus feeling carefree with the Camelia.

These are 38.5 which are my normal size. I tried them on in store and the SA said they will relax once they break in. They look a bit short to me in the heel but there seems to be a little room in the toe. I have medium width feet and these feel right. Do these look like the right size?5352C5C6-6A6E-4ACE-90D6-30411F42E3F5.jpeg68EC15D2-0CD9-467F-822D-6D08E778BABA.jpegBCA1DD7A-FD2C-41AD-87DE-EEC78D8EAA1B.jpeg

I think they are fine and if they are calfskin (not epsom) your SA is correct that they will soften a bit and not look so constricting. They are a nice fit lengthwise.

I would probably go up a half size. I think the front where your toe sits is fine but the back seems too “exact”. Do you have an opportunity to try a half size larger and compare?

I also have this issue, but when I asked to size up, my SA said that it would be too loose. So I took it and now regret it as it's too late to exchange. It fits perfectly width wise but too exact length wise and I'm afraid it'll look like I'm cramming my feet into shoes that don't fit. But c'est la vie.
