I think it really comes down to comfort. The space at the back is not a concern, it’s the space at the front. The H part of the leather will stretch, so as long as you think your feet won’t slide too forward in the future it should be alright.
It’s a matter of personal preference! I love a proper fit, almost up to the edge front and back. That way I don’t feel like I am borrowing my mom’s shoes. That said, a lot of my friends like to have lots of room at the back. So long as it’s comfortable and you like the look, it doesn’t matterI thought it might be interesting to post these pics from the Hermes website, which show the way the models wear Oran sandals. Their feet are right up to the edge on both toe and heel. This is how mine fit me and I still wonder if I've got the right size!

I actually returned these and getting a smaller size my foot was sliding a bit already and if they stretch it will be worse.I think it really comes down to comfort. Hopefully the new size will work out!I actually returned these and getting a smaller size my foot was sliding a bit already and if they stretch it will be worse.
Thank you! I think social media is what is throwing me off since I see most people with their heel right at the edge or hanging out. They look just right on you. H runs small to begin with. I’m also a 37 but decided to size up. I’ve noticed that many people wear Orans a size too small, especially on social media.
Thank you! They look about right. I think half size down might be too small.
Hanging out is definitely not the vibeI
