There is a huge number of people in the US (and in the world) who feel oppressed and under attack right now because they’re not male, white, straight, and Christian. Oprah’s speech was very empowering to people like me. I don’t necessarily support Oprah running for office, but I appreciate a powerful, intelligent, and articulate person who eloquently expresses an inclusive world view in which I have a place. Enough with the racist BS spewing from 1600 we have to endure everyday.

What about his (ex)wife though? What about her hypocrisy? I find it funny that people are praising him while Oprah can be swapped out for his wife in those pics. But as the internet goes...he wasn't calling anything out, he was just reposting a meme on his page. He ain't ish.

if Heidi Klum fawned over Harvey and his wife all of these years and then "took a stance against sexual abuse" as soon as it was the trendy thing to do, I'd want her hypocrisy called out as well.

Well Heidi did fawn over Harvey and his wife was a fixture on her show. She's not innocent in this but Seal selectively missed her in the shade. Once again, he ain't sh*t! But there are those who dislike Oprah so easy enough to take a dig and ignore Heidi doing the same.

Nearly all of Hollywood sucked up to Harvey and they would still be doing it today if the story hadn't blown up last fall. I hope everyone realizes that many of the most respected celebrities knew and never said a word. One celeb doesn't have any moral high ground over another now that it's fashionable (and therefore safe) to be vocal about it.

Eh...I do see your point. All of them should be called out, IMO. But you gotta start somewhere, and the most vocal ones now are those who will most likely be first.
