Why is it hard to believe that someone was not inspired by Oprah's speech? People relax.... If it's easier for everyone to vilify someone-then I'll be your bad guy.... 'people like you' 'you tried' I feel back in high school.... HAHAHaahhhh

I guess if you are comparing her to you know who it might be inspiring to you... for me that aint the standard, so....

Also, calling poster names i.e. "clueless" is against the rules here. Bashing someone because they share a different perspective and opinion is telling about the character. My guess you are not advocating that all races be equal.

when you need to bash someone to feel that your opinion is the right one or because they disagree with you.... remind you of anyone?

There are many now who feel threatened that they might lose the power hold they currently have and are lashing out because they are white, male and Christian. It's about them remaining in power.

Fixed that for ya! ;)

Be careful....if you disagree with anything O says, your a racist...

OK, I'll bite...what specifically did you disagree with?

For me, it's not that I don't believe some people don't feel it was empowering. I'd imagine most of those people fall within a certain demographic. What my issue is, is that you're not simply sharing an opinion. You're trying to state it as a fact and drive the narrative towards a discriminatory and oppresive hive mind. The people who are intentionally saying it wasn't empowering are the same people who don't want a black woman to be in power. You and I both know you're trying to fly under the radar here by saying "What? I can't have an opinion? Why are you mad at little ole me?" You and I both know exactly what you're tying to do. I know cause of your post history, and I'm gonna call you out on it.

How is that offensive? Serious question.

I always find it ironic when certain people accuse others of being too easily offended and special snowflakes, then end up reacting like that.

Her speech did exactly what it was designed to do: put her back in the spotlight after she was maybe feeling a little forgotten. I don't find much about her to be genuine, and almost everything to be narcissistic. The fact that she puts herself on every.single.cover of her own magazine is revolting to me.

Charles.... LOL i love it when you are so assuming... there is no conspiration theory, I don't even know you... I don't want a black woman to be in power because I don't find her speech empowering-that's reaching and definitely you are perhaps projecting, you should look at the demographic who wouldn't want a black woman in power and see if you are in it.
