Oprah Winfrey fans are getting a chance to own a piece of their favourite talk-show host's wardrobe with Winfrey selling off her clothing to help charity.

'Oprah's Closet' has opened up inside the store, which sells other Oprah memorabilia, across from her television studio in Chicago. It now sells a selection of clothing in sizes US10-14 (UK 14-18), some for as little as £20 each, with everything from high street labels such as Banana Republic to high-end designer items, including YSL, Prada and Chanel.

Each item is labelled with the tag 'Harpo Inc. hereby certifies that the item to which this tag is attached is a genuine garment from the closet of Oprah Winfrey,' ensuring it is a real collector's item for Oprah fans.

As one eager fan explained to the New York Times: "The feeling is, Oprah had this on and now I'm wearing it! When you go in there, you feel just great, like you are somebody, like Oprah is touching you."

Oprah is a super-smart woman doing good great stuff worldwide. She has done something like this before (I think she gave away the clothes, can't remember).

Oprah Winfrey speaks on on her new weight issues in the Januaray issue of O magazine. According to the article, she is now 200lbs, a 40 pound weight gain from just 3 years ago.

“I’m embarrassed … I can’t believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I’m still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, ‘How did I let this happen again? I didn’t just fall of the wagon. I let the wagon fall on me.”

Oprah’s current BMI — a measure of body fat based on height and weight — of 31.8, puts her in the obese category. Obesity increases your risk of developing high blood pressure, diabetes and many other serious health problems.

For Oprah, who ran a marathon in 1994 and co-authored the 1996 best-seller “Make the Connection: Ten Steps To A Better Body — And A Better Life” with fitness and health guru Bob Greene, the battle of the bulge is one of frustration.

“I definitely wasn’t setting an example,” she says in her article. “I was talking the talk, but I wasn’t walking the walk.”

I feel bad for her. Nobody feels good when they gain weight, and to do so publicly can't be fun.

I'm glad she acknowledged it though, it was kind of an elephant in the room during all her Dr. Oz shows.

I just wanna know why she's guilty about that 2005 body. It's not hers. All jokes aside, I really wish that she would not focus on numbers and just maintain her health.
