This. I have rehomed several bags over the years and only regretted two. One I replaced at a higher price. The other, I still hanker after many years later.
Opinion needed please ... Barenia Birkin dilemma ... new home or keep?

Hello,
I have now decided to let go of my Barenia Birkin, although it is not easy for me.
It is not understandable for many of you and I know that Barenia is extremely special, also for me and it is not easy for me, but since I only wore her once a year, I decided for a certain reason.
My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter have bought a beautiful old house after a long search and I would like to support them with the proceeds from the sale of the Barenia.
For me, this is now a good reason to let them go to a new home.

I think seller's remorse is not likely given the way you plan to use the funds.
My last post was premature. Obviously I hadn't read through to the part where you'd made your decision. And for very good reason.
This is a very special bag indeed, and like many have said including yourself, it would be very difficult to replace should you ever regret the decision to rehome it. However it sounds like you have given this a great deal of thought and have a lovely reason now to rehome the bag. I think that if you use those funds towards supporting your loved ones like you have stated, then you will not have regrets.
Ultimately if hanging on to the bag causes you to have feelings of guilt for not using it more, then it is better to let it go. Hopefully whoever gets this bag will truly appreciate how special she is, and you will feel better about the happiness this bag will bring someone else. More importantly, I think the lasting memories that you and your family can create in their new home will be a priceless source of joy for you.

I know it was not an easy decision but you have given it a lot of thought and time to finally let it go and have the funds toward your family. I think when it comes to family, nothing can make us more happier.
