Ok, I have a really basic question about OPI Gelcolor. Are the Gelcolors the same colors as OPI rnp? I've been buying a lot of Gelish because I can go to Sally's, open the bottle and get a better idea of colors. Could I just look at OPI rnp colors in order to get a good sense of the color? Or does that Gelcolor differ because of the formula? TIA!

I find they are an exact match xx

I find that some colors are similar but not exactly the same--and this mostly occurs with metallics. For example, "Tomorrow Never Dies" is not as metallic as the RNP, and neither is "Cosmo Not Tonight Honey" or "Pompeii Purple"--and these ones are only from my experience. "Deutsch you want me baby" definitely has a different quality to it, too but the shimmer in it is so awesome anyway that I don't mind. I feel likegel metallics have a lot more depth to them, whereas RNP metallics look flatter and make a better "foil" appearance on the nail.

Exciting! I'm going to have to save for these somehow, along with Peace & Love & OPI. :( I almost got the Showgirls Axxium collection a year ago, but I like bottled gels much more.

Good to know! I guess if I'm looking at creams, I can go with the gel but I don't want to lose the depth of metallics. Right now I'm debating if I should get the rnp or gel of Love & Peace & OPI.

Ooooh that's the main color from the San Francisco collection that I want, too. I definitely want the gel form, and I'm hoping it'll be just as spectacular as the RNP! I'm just not sure if I have enough extra money for it, yet.

I got a little mini set of the rnp to check it out. If the gel wears the same, I won't get it. I love the color shifts but it applies too dark so I won't be able to wear it when I'm working. :-(
