I bought two gel polishes from the OPI Kerry Washington collection. I got Liv in the Grey and Suzi - the First Lady of Nails. The latter I'm hoping is the perfect camo/olive green for fall. I'm getting my nails done this Friday with it and I'm super excited.

I used OPI ink gel,but I don't think it is worth the price.

I would say try one of the colors from the new collections. Some of the older colors are a pain in the ass application wise. They shrink and apply thin etc... try one of the newer collections

If you are asking if the OPI Gelcolor gel polishes last longer than normal OPI polish then the answer is yes(when properly applied). This should be true for ALL gel polishes. All gel polishes should last longer than regular polish.

If you are asking if OPI Gelcolor lasts longer than other gel polishes, I would say that it is probably similar to other brands of gel polishes but longevity can vary a lot from person to person, probably due to body chemistry factors, nail condition, application issues, and how hard you are on your nails. Gels usually last 1-3 weeks for most people. Sone people do better with one brand than another. I find that OPI Gelcolor wears very well on me and I can get 3+ weeks before it starts lifting.

Applying gel polish is a bit more involved than regular polish. It's not hard at all but there is a bit of a learning curve. I would agree that you shouldn't buy "blind". The lamp and the polishes, and other supplies can be a big investment. Also, gel polish won't damage nails, but improper removal will cause damage so you want to understand that before you start.

I would recommend that you research gels well before you buy. There are some great older threads on this site with lots of info about gel polishes in general. All of that info should be applicable to OPI Gelcolor as well as other brands. Also lots of information is available online.
