Samoan sand isn't orangey either though.
Mine is. It's a very pale, sheer, yellow-orangey beige. What's worse, it's the type of color that gives me lobster hands.

Weird. Mine is a neutral beige creme.
And I'll bet it doesn't make you hands look the color of a boiled lobster either. Lol. I guess even OPI had quality control problems too. Do you think gels could also be in different dye-lots like fabrics?
Weird that it was just your right hand.. sometimes when I'm doing a mani while doing other things (like watching TV).. I have to try and think if I need to cure or apply a coat because I'm not paying that close attention. If I'm not sure, I just cure it again. Are you using vitagel instead of base coat?ugh i ended up just taking off my whole mani... didnt even last a week... my right hand completely came off on sunday! i fgured i just went to fast so i redid it all on monday and tuesday 2 nails popped off... ugh today it all jus was soaked off... dont get it... left hand had no issue right hand i dont get what the problem was![]()
Very pretty ! Would you say budapest is more lavender or blue? That's great that it doesn't seem to fade to grey.
Excellent!Great color and great mani! I've been wearing You're such a Budapest all week too and I get compliments on it every day. People love it.
I bet if one of us were on the quality control assembly line, we'd probably drive them all nuts with our precision to color tones while rejecting many of the batches! And I'll bet it doesn't make you hands look the color of a boiled lobster either. Yeah... it was very wierd... ah well i do use vitagel instead of foundation... i never had a serious problem like that before... ill try OPI again just not for a bit i think it may have been just too thickWeird that it was just your right hand.. sometimes when I'm doing a mani while doing other things (like watching TV).. Thanks all. I contacted the seller and got a refund based on the pictures I sent her, luckily I still had a RNP Bubble Bath lying around. So, now what. I really like Bubble Bath for french manicures but am a little reluctant now to reorder from a different seller. Can anyone recommend a good substitution from another brand? I like my frenchies palest pink and use arctic freeze by Gelish for white. It suits my coloring best IMHO.
And thanks all for the super quick replies, such fun to be here![]()
I like IBD Just Gel polishes for sheer nudes. Cashmere Blush is a more neutral peach sheer and Sea Shell Pink is a pink sheer. Sea Pearl is a sheer whitish base with a violet shimmer that can go from barely there to strong purple flash depending on number of coats which is also beautiful for an edgy French with either white pearl or silver tips. I'll see if I can swatch and post them later today or early tomorrow.
Thank you very much for your recommendations! I love IBD, I think they have great colors and the prices are good too, since I'm buying everything on Ebay (Gelish here costs about 32 a bottle which is like $37?? Can you believe that). I'll definately check those colors out, thanks for taking the effort to reply!

I did a mani with "Thanks a Windmillion" and there was a bit of shrink back (not too much, but enough to bug me), and chipping on day 3. I am not doing Pro-Bond on my tips anymore, but I had Gelish Seafoam on for at least 5 days before any chipping (and no Pro-Bond on that).
The shrink back is an OPI problem. I don't use probond, but I doubt that caused the premature chipping. I think that would have happened in any event. I love the OPI colors, but they don't wear as well as other gels on me either.![]()
