I ordered the small rose gold JUC ring yesterday morning and apparently had the option of Next Day Delivery. But that day is here and I have no shipping confirmation. I wonder if they're driving it over from the nearest boutique?![]()
I assume you are from the USIn Europe we are not as time-focussed (say sleepy
) and we consider 2-3 days as fast. This is what it took when I orderes a few items from Cartier.
Once it even took 2 weeks.
** Long post ahead **
I made another online order recently (just before the price increase).
Order placed: 13/7
Order shipped: 14/7
Order delivered: 21/7
Things to note:
- Estimated delivery date was 23/7 but the item arrived two days earlier from Singapore to Australia
- My partner and I both bought items and were expecting three parcels in total - on this occasion, the FedEx delivery guy left all three boxes on our front door step and did not knock or request a signature (even though it is clearly stipulated on the boxes). Thankfully we were both working from home and my partner happened to go outside and check so they didn’t get stolen
- Am still wondering if I should provide feedback about this to Cartier or FedEx; not Cartier’s fault but extremely irresponsible of the FedEx delivery driver who also had the nerve to fake the signature (it isn’t that hard to knock on the door or put the items in the mailbox; my mailbox is huge)
- Packaging was same as always: white outer box, shredded paper for the gift wrapped item to rest on, Cartier shopping bag [which has definitely changed as per previous posts], large white envelope containing packing slip, standard thank you note, complimentary blank message card & certificate of authenticity
- COA envelope was sealed (which is kind of annoying because it usually isn’t and I wanted to look at it). I ended up leaving it sealed because I didn’t want to ruin the envelope. I don’t plan on selling my item in the future so it should be okay
- Item was beautifully wrapped with the standard red wax seals
- Item itself was perfect (no visible scratches) and best of all, it fit! I ended up buying this ring sight unseen and had to guess the sizing as I didn’t have a chance to visit the boutique to try it on (just went with my standard ring size). I bought the Vendome Louis Cartier wedding ring (3.5mm version) and I love it!
- Did not receive a cleaning kit or travel pouch but I expected that. I will contact customer service shortly to request these be sent out to me
- My partner ordered the small Trinity ring (my wedding gift to him) and a Trinity on cord bracelet. He asked customer service for extra coloured cords - they were only able to provide a red cord from the warehouse. When the customer service person called to advise of the above, he asked for a travel pouch. They sent this separately (he got the massive one that usually fits a LOVE/JUC and he also got a cleaning kit which I thought was pretty awesome given these don’t come as standard)
- This is my seventh online order and I’m impressed with the consistency (if only VCA would open up their online boutique to Australia… actually I adore my VCA SA so I would still buy from her)
**Thanks for reading**
This happened to me last year when I ordered my 4 diamond classic Love when the pandemic was in full swing (late April 2020) - the FedEx guy left my package on my front door also!
Once I got the tracking details, I went to the FedEx website and signed up for updates, like you, I always do this for packages (no matter the value) so luckily I knew the items were coming that day. It’s fine to leave parcels on the doorstep (everything these days is contactless here) but it annoyed me because he didn’t even knock. This happened to me last year when I ordered my 4 diamond classic Love when the pandemic was in full swing (late April 2020) - the FedEx guy left my package on my front door also!
I did write about this (my experience) previously to warn others as I was really shocked at the time and advised others to track the package and mark it with “when delivery made”, which I always do with all my packages so I knew it was there.
However, if you say he forged your signature, that may be a whole other thing altogether. Guess it’s your call if you feel like reporting it or making a complaint, but it may be allowed with the pandemic is my guess since the same thing happened to me unfortunately.
I do know in Australia that you might have more protocols/restrictions in place due to Covid and maybe it may not be as laxed as some areas in the US now.
On my most recent purchase, my FedEx guy did get my signature, etc but I was also waiting at the door for him.
Congrats on your purchases! Enjoy!

We get heaps of deliveries where they drop the stuff off, knock real loud and drive away (which is fine because I know they have lots of parcels to deliver) and my partner will go out to retrieve the items OR if a signature is required, they will knock, wait for you to come out, hand it to you and drive away.
In this instance, we were both working at home and my partner said “I think I hear someone” so he popped outside and they were just sitting there. We have had parcels left on our doorstep all day in the past (pre-COVID & pre WFH) and no one has stolen them (knock on wood) but because these particular items were pricey, I did not expect that (also those security seals covering the box & “signature required” stickers are hard to miss). My partner said it’s not worth saying anything because our items were not stolen so I will let it go (I don’t generally make complaints because I don’t like getting people in trouble).
I’m glad your 4 diamond classic LOVE was safe (such a gorgeous piece!) - what was your latest acquisition?
Thanks for sharing your experience![]()
I had that the other way round. The pickup guy on my return just took my box without any confirmation leaving me without any proof.
Really strange, just imagine the driver denies having ever received it and we are talking about 000s of $$$.
This would be extremely stressful especially if the boutique never received the returned item. And the stuff you buy is on the $$$ side too!I had that the other way round. The pickup guy on my return just took my box without any confirmation leaving me without any proof.

You are correct, until you receive the item, you are not responsible if anything goes wrong.Yea that is strange; however, if he logs it in, then you are probably safe, which I assume you were.
On receiving the item, I read awhile back that when the item is in transit, you are not liable until once you sign off on it.
I can only assume that once Cartier puts it in transit, and in FedEx’s hands, they are responsible for the item and for any damages until it reaches you.
@lilpikachu
Yes, they are afraid to touch the doorbell! All last year, no knocks or anything! LOL
As for my latest, my husband got me a special order for my birthday, the RG 6 diamond classic! It’s more gold and Loves than I originally planned, but I guess 3rd times a charm!
Odd...they can polish the scratches so it looks brand new...Would like to ask if you would purchase a necklace with some light scratches? My SA sent me a photo of c de necklace, it’s the only one in the country. However, there are noticeable scratchesis it worth going for ?
