OK, WHERE do TJMaxx and Marshalls get their bags?

Generally, it is Overstock from retailers the merchandise that does not sell well in the stores.

that is what i was told,too. and yes they are real bags although i know some people buy real and return fake! there is always someone trying to beat the system! i see ALOT of the designer italian leather bags in my store and when i come and research the name online i am amazed at what the bags sell for originally! i know some women that say they would not step one foot into either maxx or marshall's and i say "good!! more for me!!"

I love TJ but when things go on clearance I always check around the entire store because things get mismarked so easily. I have purchased items that have been identical and only one had the clearance sticker.

I was wondering same thing too, but wherever they get their bags I'm absolutely loving it. I bought my first Michael Kors bag in Marshalls (like 2 yrs ago)

oh btw, I went there earlier this day at TJMaxx and they have tons of Cole Haan bags(not the recent styles though, but saw the same styles in Macys and Nordys too).

I am also confused. I found a beautiful Kenneth Cole Reaction bag at TJMaxx says orig price is $198 and store price $99. But I can't find this bag anywhere on the net including the KC website. Also found a FB wallet for $49. I love these designers but I want to make sure these items are the real deal. You know, want to feel like I got a real bargain I guess. Anyone know what's up with that? I even tried looking them up by style number. . .

I see T. J. Maxx and Marshalls are also carrying a lot of medium end brands that we do recognize like Coach, Dooney & Burke(did I spell it right)......just to name a few.

Sometimes, companies sell their old stock to TJMaxx. I found this out when I called a brand directly asking to buy more of my favorite pair of pants and was told that the line's totally discontinued long time ago. I went back and stocked up on that pants.

if you want nice high end designer brands, go to tjmaxx and search the locations of their "runway" collection. here you can find gucci, diane von furstenburg, l.a.m.b.,etc.

some tjmaxx's and marshalls will still carry juicy couture, 7 for all mankind, cole haan, dooney and coach, but are not called "runway" stores.

I wouldnot say that they are the greatest deal. still expensive. For example, they had M Missoni dresses for 299, and 249. Filene's basement had Missoni dresses for 299 and it was orangle line, not M Missoni! Just saw a Valentino dress, 299. Plus usually it's weird stuff, cute things go fast
