@girlhasbags …….. Now I know which bag you are talking about as I too was considering buying the bag but was thrown off by the RIP initials. Those initials typically mean Rest In Peace but I have no idea why anyone would put that on a bag unless it really was their initials. I think most people would assume it’s for Rest in Peace and not your initials as well If you decide to leave as is. If it were me I would see what people can do to cover it. A quick IG # search brought up a member named onceuponalauren (https://www.instagram.com/onceuponalauren?igsh=MWZxaDU1NXRiYnZlMw==) who paints on highend bags but there are a ton of others.

Yes, that is the bag I am talking about...lol I looked at it for a few months but couldn't get past the initials either. I agree, I dont know why anyone would put that on a bag either unless it was their initials. Then it got to 30% + 10% and based on the condition I thought it might be worth seeing if something could be done about the initials. TRR has one listed for $1695.00 that is in a condition well below this one. Thank you I will check out that link and see what else I can find. Wish me good luck.

Helpful intel re: the M clasp as I was lowkey looking at the wallet (but haven't done any close-up research). I have the Gabrielle clutch and the magnetic clasp and swivel is one of the (many) features that I like most about it. Although if they were to implement that clasp in the wallet, I can see the price of it increasing noticeably.

What ‘RIP’ represents intrigues me because one of my daughter’s teachers in grammar school was Ms. Rip.

That must be interesting for her... lol. Okay I've been thinking about this in case I have to live with the initials. Im good with it if I can come up with something that is more positive. I was thinking. Respectful (the world needs more of that), Integrity, Polite, Peaceful or Passionate. What do you guys think.

Thanks!!!! I tried to put a positive spin on it. There is always a sliver lining depending on how you want to look at it. I am now happy and don't think I am going to worry about the initials. Given the price I wasn't planning on selling it anyway and to tell you the truth I am happy I did it. I just noticed the one on TRR sold at $1675.00 I paid less than 50% of that. Positive and affordable. WIN. WIN

Right? I'm lucky to live close to a Moynat store, so I went in and tried out various items. I initially went and tried to swivel the wallet open and the SA was immediately like "oh...no, that's not how it works, it's not like the bags, this one is just cosmetic" and my disappointment was immediate. She said people assume it works like the bags 9 times out of 10! Feels like a no brainer to update the wallet (or maybe make a larger wallet) that does it.

I am considering a Rejane in BB or mini (not the nano) for those of you that have it may I ask how much does hold. What are the positives and negatives. For anyone that also has the Gabrielle BB how do they compare. I appreciate the feedback thank you!

Here is my first luxury bag purchase: a Moynat Flori in Bourbon. I picked up this beauty at SCP. I was already in the already because we were going to Disneyland. I've been saving up for a luxury handbag for some time, but I wanted to take my time finding a bag that "sparked joy."

I always thought I'd get a Chanel flap because I've admired it for so long. I went vacationing in Paris last summer and stood in line at the Chanel boutique for more than an hour. When I stepped into the boutique, they didn't have the bag in the color I was looking for. The SA told me to come back the following day to see if they restocked. I was little put off by the idea of waiting in line for a long time to again not find what I want -- that would sour my whole vacation. I decided not spend my hard-earned dollars on a bag that did not spark joy, even if it was Chanel. So I took my time, and I am so glad I found a bag I really love.

Also to add: the Moynat boutique at SCP was a wonderful experience. The SAs there were very kind and welcoming. I am eye-ing a Rejane bag BB. I didn't get it then because I felt it was too formal.

When i bought my CF 2-3 yrs ago, the SA in the US said they dont have on hand but might get deliveries in a week. It was a black Medium CF with gold he caviar leather. I pretty much think theyre subtly playing the game. Im not doing any more of that. One and done with Chanel.
Glad you found great service from Moynat and found the bag that truly sparked joy.

She’s thinking of some bags that have solid palladium hardware but Moynat doesn’t have any. A decade or two ago it wasn’t unheard of because the price of palladium hadn’t soared yet.
