My understanding is the new year macarons won’t hit the stores until January. They’re taking pre orders now and may sell out on some in the series before they ever hit the stores. They used to do a lunar new year release of the Chinese zodiac symbol each year so in the past they would have done a dragon macaron for this upcoming year of the dragon. But unfortunately they stopped doing that after Ramesh left. I’m glad they started making macarons again for Chinese New Year. Hopefully that’ll start doing the zodiac signs again in the future. The old macarons were marquetry ones vs these newer ones that are painted. Who knows if they’ll decide to do some marquetry ones in the future. Moynat marquetry has been really high quality in the past.

I'm not sure if they're displayed in all boutiques but this is in Singapore. I don't think they will be displayed very long. It seems theyre already mostly gone by now, at least they almost gone here haha

I purchased a pre-loved tote but it has initials. Does anyone know if Moynat will remove initials? I would obvioiusly pay for the removal. Thanks!

Is the tote leather or canvas? Are they painted or stamped initials? If stamped on leather, you might be able to minimize the impression with some heat (like a blowdryer) gently applied but I’ve never seen the impression fully disappear.

I asked Moynat. If it’s a canvas tote, it’d be nearly impossible to remove. I did not ask about a leather tote, I but can if needbe.

When is Moynat going to come out with a some new bag styles? I feel like there has been a huge void in getting new models from some of the designers I love so much. The colors are so pretty, just would like to see something new.

Companies are not churning out bags like in the recent past. I think inflation costs and slowing sales have them rethinking their business models. It feels like several brands have slowed down considerably. Even if I don’t like future styles, I’m excited about something/anything coming out. I just need something new to talk about.

the last time I heard they still don't have a creative director so new bag styles are probably not coming out anytime soon

LVMH doesn’t seem to be in a huge rush to fill creative director roles at smaller houses they own. Berluti has also been without one since 2021 when Kris Van Assche left.

Also it could be they are having some trouble finding anyone qualified to take on that job. Ramesh was brilliant and they pushed him out for not trending commercial enough. Knightly was a hack but gave them the LV retread they wanted, but the clients didn't so he was fired.

I talked to my SA recently, asking for new styles and it appears that nothing new is in the pipeline.

I would love to get excited for something NEW.

Moynat executives if you read this thread, I would love to see more accessories like scarves, hats, ponchos, belts or blankets. No one asked for a yoga mat holder! 🤪

I wonder how they will sustain the brand based on such few models only. I would have appreciated bringing back some of the discontinued models for the time being to ensure some variety. I would certainly be interested in buying as I still adore Moynat, but have enough Gabrielles and Rejanes to last me a lifetime and the existing colour choices do not appeal to me. I recently purchased a Gaby in Celadon which I was happy they brought back, but unfortunately had to return due to quality concerns.
