While this brand might be great for quality and looks, the customer service is quite shocking. I went from really enthusiastic about the product to not wanting to have anything to do with the brand after interacting with sales at their Paris Flagship store online. All I wanted to know was if there were other items not on the website but available in their store similar to the bag I was after, and if yes could they take some pictures so I can take a look? The salesperson initially said it was fine, and then a day later replied quite rudely that they did not have anything and basically did not read properly as to what I was asking. He even spelled the brand name wrong in the subject of the e-mail when he first contacted me.

From my side, this person works in the flagship store, if there are no other similar bags he could easily just inform me on the spot and say so. Instead, he was silent for an entire day and was simply rude and impatient when I asked him if he had a chance to let me know about my query.

I have interacted with just about all major fashion house brands, never been as offended by Moynat. If they cannot even handle a simple customer query or spell their company name right, I am not going to spend my hard-earned cash on this brand. My view is that luxury brands need to provide superior customer service and product to be able to make me willing to spend my money, especially since there are plenty of competition out there.
Thanks for sharing. When I hear of experiences like this, it makes it easy to spend my money elsewhere.

i honestly think this may just be an one-off experience with the sa you encountered. I've been in contact with a paris sa for about 8 years now and she has been nothing but wonderful and very responsive. If at any point, you decide to give it another try, pls let me know and i will share her contact with you.

Do you know why the mess? Also, is it true that the Rejane is getting discontinued or only available through SO?
Réjane, Gabrielle, and Gabrielle clutch are. permanent offerings. For the foreseeable future, the Gaby will be offered ‘seasonally’ in limited colors. I hope the Gaby will be included in Moynat’s permanent offerings.

Well we will see what whoever the new CD is thinks is “permanent.” :graucho:

Who do you think is currently coming out with new designs like the ultra black? Choosing the new colors etc? Who decided to bring Gaby back etc? I’m just wondering…
By Knightly's own account at the time, when he took over as CD he gave a lot of creative latitude to the artisans (rather than bother with designing). And the suits probably have a lot of opinions.

It doesn't sound like there are new _bag_ designs coming out of that "committee" at the moment - new colors have a lead time with the tanneries, so that's not a quick turnaround, and bringing back a model that established clients liked (and spent on) isn't difficult as long as they haven't decimated the atelier with all of the thrash.

I dont know which is better, getting a rude online response or not getting a response at all. This is my experience with Hermes as well.

Why do you think they will never make the Pauline again? Is there some kind of copyright issue or something? (And that green is TDF!)
It wasn’t the most popular of the designs because of its finicky zipper closure. Who knows if Moynat will ever make the Pauline a SO, but it doesn’t have the same demand as the Gabrielles and Gaby.

And let us not forget the Pauline Haut (my personal fave). Here is an elusive black one:

For those of you who own a Gabrielle bag — what is one thing (or more) you love about it? What is annoying (but you’re willing to put up with because you love the bag)?
