Does anyone have a Pauline MM? Is it too big for a 5'3" frame (a bit on the chubby side)? Curious on opinions if the bag can be comfortably held on the shoulder.. Does it stick out too much? I love the lines of the Pauline, but find that some models sag a bit after some time. Curious about any opinion from anyone who has owned the bag (in MM or any other size).

I love the Pauline Haut, but that's a totally elusive beauty (I have never seen it for sale in black).

Thanks!
I can't help, but interested to know this too. I'm 5'2" and tried one on briefly in the boutique when looking for something else, not realising it had been discontinued. From memory it wasn't too big on my frame but I didn't think to try it on my shoulder at the time. Would love one now though! The PM I have I love, but a little more space would be really useful.

A question for Gabrielle PM owners, how are the corners of your bags doing with wear and tear? I’m just curious how the Gabrielle will do after many years of wear.
I have only owned this black Gabrielle for 3 or 4 years, but I carry it often (I would argue it is probably my most used “every day” bag) and the corners are still in pretty great condition - some very mild rubbing that really isn’t even visible without a zoom lens. For reference - I would say I’m kind of in the middle of the road when it comes to caring for my bags - I’m not one to baby my bags but I’m also not one to throw them around recklessly, if that helps.

I think there are a few reasons for the lack of visible wear:
1. The size is small enough that I don't really bang it into anything accidentally, which can happen with larger bags.
2. The corners are rounded, so there isn’t an obvious vulnerable point that might otherwise show wear, unlike Chanel’s coco handle, for example.

it really is a fabulous bag. The size, style, craftsmanship, ease of use…literally everything….is all pretty close to perfect.

Here are a few photos:

Thank you so much!!! This is so helpful, I appreciate it! Your Gabrielle looks perfect ❤️

Yes. That looks like a pm. The pm is handbag size. The larger sizes are (pretty much) for travel.
That Limousine is a beautiful shade of red. My Limo squished just like that.

Nice. But if I remember correctly you ended up returning yours?

I’m still considering it but I’m afraid I might not like how it will sit under my arm when I shoulder carry it.

Yes. It’s the shoulder carry that didn’t work for me. One strap kept flopping down.
Over the last few years, I’ve developed an appreciation for hand carried bags. I wish I still had the Limousine. It’s much better than H’s Victoria II. It’s smaller, the sides have some reinforcement, and the inside leather is amazing.

I had a Pauline MM and yes I could carry it on my shoulder comfortably but found the zipper fiddly and the body of the bag too short to accommodate my regular organizer (Fourbi 20). You would be fine as long as you are OK with the zipper and a shorter interior.

The Haut is fantastic and I never saw a black one in the maison (only colors). I think the focus then was more on color and perhaps fewer black pieces were produced in those early collections. (@Mousy do you recall?)

It was your post that made me hesitant about the limousine as a shoulder bag^^ As I hate shoulder straps flopping down.

I’m not sure about the bag hand carried. Won’t the straps be a tad too long? And the bag looks so long even though measurement wise it’s not longer than many other handheld bags.

I fully support it! I have a black Gabrielle in size BB, I bought it in 2017, I think I wore it every day in some years!!! I really like this bag, I didn’t want to let it go, and it got caught in the rain, but it’s like new!

The Pauline and Haut came in a soft black.

The bag is shorter than it appears. Boxier than my Victoria II. The Victoria II is big.

The straps are the same length as my LV Neverfull and Oh! Tote. I suppose they are a little long for a handbag, but the bag is also a little wider than most. The strap length keeps the bag from forcefully smushing inward on top (when hand-carried). Smushing tends to come from shoulder-carry.

I hope I explained my thoughts okay.

Thanks, Mousy, I appreciate your insights, very useful.

I guess we share similar reservations about the Limousine. And we also love it for the same reasons^^ I’ve been wanting this bag for years but was never able to pull the trigger.

When I saw it pop up a few weeks ago for a really good price I fell in love again. …but again, still haven’t purchased it. Haha

After talking about the Limousine I thought I would look for one. I found this on Vestaire which I think it gorgeous. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.
