It seemed to me that somewhere in this forum I saw a discussion about a special order, I wanted to know if anyone made such an order?
I really want a bag, but the perfect combination for me is not available. I have already agreed with SA and they can make this special order for me. I’m a little worried that the waiting period is 6-8 months, taking into account full prepayment and the cost is higher than the bags in stock.
It also seems to me that someone said that when making such a special order, it turned out that such a package was made available to everyone (without waiting and at the usual price).
I'm trying to figure out how best to proceed.
Buy from stock what me don’t really like. Make a special order (wait, overpay). Don’t order anything and wait until the combination I need appears)))

If you think that your special order is rudimentary enough that it will be available as a regular offer soon, you can wait. To gauge that you’d have to look at the past and existing models, and see the probability of your design being produced by Moynat.
Then again, you can be sure that Moynat will produce it but what if they never do? You just waited in vain and should’ve ordered the bag anyway.
Also keep in mind that there are regular price increases, that by the time your special order turns out to be a regular offering (say 2-3 years down the line), your special order might be the cheaper one despite the premium. Also by the time the regular offer has come out, you have already enjoyed your special order that it doesn’t bother you anymore that it’s now a regular offering.
6-8 months is not a long wait. Right now there are Hermès customers who are still waiting for their special orders placed as far back as 2019, for example. And the unfortunate thing is that since special orders at H don’t require prepayment, they can also cancel the order after so many years of waiting (e.g. if they run out of the requested leather, etc).
Lastly, I don’t think buying a bag you don’t even really like is an option. I do not see the point.

At the end of the day, if neither option is appealing to you (or has drawbacks), just don't choose either until you're comfortable ordering a special order or wait for your combo to show up in a future collection.
These bags still cost a decent amount of money and you need to be happy with the decision you end up making.

Me too! I'd love to see a return of the Pauline too (although it's not going to happen!) I have a small one that I use regularly, but would love one of the larger ones for work.
I would not say no to a Gabrielle in vache naturelle.
And without extra branding.
I miss the good old time when able to find quite a few of the designs I like, and the hard part was to prioritise "which one to get first".
I really miss the utilitarian nature of these bags with the most amazing design. They need to bring these back!
Has Moynat produced any Gaby in powder / white before? I nearly gave up hope for its discontinuation but now they’re bringing it back. I’m hoping for more gorgeous colours What’s your dream combination on Gaby?

Does anyone have a Pauline MM? Is it too big for a 5'3" frame (a bit on the chubby side)? Curious on opinions if the bag can be comfortably held on the shoulder.. Does it stick out too much? I love the lines of the Pauline, but find that some models sag a bit after some time. Curious about any opinion from anyone who has owned the bag (in MM or any other size).
I love the Pauline Haut, but that's a totally elusive beauty (I have never seen it for sale in black).
