In my experience, they will only sell the belt and the buckle. I went to the store in Florence and was wearing my belt and asked about buying a second leather strap to have more color options and was told they could only sell them as a set.

Maybe if you brought in the worn out leather belt, the SA would take pity on you and sell a new one?

Unless there has been a change of policy, the whole point of the Hermes belt kits is that you can buy alternative straps to go with the buckles.
Hermes did not sell buckles without a strap; the reason for that must be perfectly obvious.
I have bought separate straps from the boutique, including, would you believe, one in barenia;
I could not believe my luck.

If you go to Hermes.com you will see the range available at a given time.
The straps are offered separately.
Remember that Hermes.com and the boutiques do not share the same inventory,
but you can get an idea of what is available.

Thank you both! I bought a new belt kit because the only buckle I have would make holes in my tops so I didn't mind getting both a new strap and buckle. Nice to know I can just hunt for a strap I want to replace my well loved and worn out old strap. :flowers:
