I'm sorry, but why would anyone want to carry a bag around with Barbara Streisand or Michael j Fox on it ??? Much less pay for the priviledge to carry such a bag? They would have to pay ME to carry those things.

I get why Michael J Fox and Rob Lowe represent the 80s in this throw back collection but not sure about Barbra...love her but she is a different generation.

Not for me either, but maybe limited editions would be the draw for super fans!

I believe it’s the Derby, which was curvy. Regina has straighter lines.
Good Lord, I have spent a lot of time in Vintage Land!

Here is a link to one on the AT thread, found to be authentic style 9904:
ID This Coach item! -- Post any Coach item name questions here! --

This is going to be really interesting, to watch Coach reboot so many vintage styles!
Thanks @Luv2Shop1 for posting all the pics!!!
Last edit: It’s official. The teal Baby Shoulder Pouch/Station Bag has sucked me in.

The task one is really cute! I hope they actually make a lot of these bags for general release!

You can find many, many vintage Coach on eBay and Etsy, that have been painted! It seems like artists have been long drawn to painting on vintage Coach bags. I have seen many a Yorkie painted on one!

Gah, I want so many things. Classic shapes in bold colors, glovetanned leather, minimal branding... so much want. I’ll wait until the full collection comes out though. I’m hoping they do that top handle clutch in the royal purple color... I’m also wondering if they’re going to be doing originals bags in exotics or other odd patterns or colors.

It’s interesting to see how many “originals” are repeats of recent 1941 bags vs. new/old designs. You can clearly see that a lot of the small bags are going for the vintage looking folded or bonded leather edges, rather than edge painted, but the 1941 bags (dinky, barrel bag) haven’t been altered from previous seasons except maybe in color.

Lol, are you old enough to remember Linda Richman from “Coffee Talk with Linda Richman”?
But really, no, I can’t imagine, if the target market demographic is, well, anybody.
I'm quite sure that I'm of sufficient age  but I never watched talk shows so I don't know who she is.

I know. That is so random and weird. Last I heard it isn’t like Michael J Fox has a cult following like Elvis or something. Lol
True. I do get that he was an 'it' star of the 80's, but I still don't see that as a reason to put his face on a handbag......but that's just me.

I suppose it's possible. :confused1:

Heh. "She" (Linda Richman) was Mike Myers in drag. ;) It's a skit from SNL.
One of the best ones is on youtube ... and ironically, I *think* this is the one that actually has Streisand guest appear at the end. I think they were talking about her legs being "like butter" iirc?

One of the recurring jokes from skit to skit, was that "she" (Myers) would always get "verklempft", and give the audience a topic to discuss amongst themselves while Myers "recomposed his emotions". One of the best lines ever, that hubby and I still quote to each other *to this day*, went something like this --- "Oh now I'm getting all verklempft. Talk amongst yourselves. Here, I'll give you a topic. The Holy Roman Empire was neither Holy nor Roman nor an Empire. Discuss."

(And yes, now I'm feeling my age too. ;))

Oh! Gotcha! I aways hated SNL so I never watched those skits. I do know who Mike Myers is though.

I LOVED SNL with Mike Meyers on it!! He's always been one of my favorite comedians. This skit always cracked me up!

Thanks for digging that up. I did just watch that recently!

I remember a group of friends. We all watched that. We were constantly telling each other “Tawk amongst yourselves”. It helped that I picked up a bit of the LI accent from living there a few years. Oh the silliness!

So Stuart Vevers needs to contact Mike Meyers, and have him resurrect those late 80s eyeglasses and parade Linda Richman around in the sweatshirt and bag!
