Its important to have a trusted source who can rehab/repair beloved bags, and your positive experiences with Rago instill confidence in them for me. If you entrust your bags to them, i will definitely try them. I hesitated to say anything negative about Modern since they are the ‘go to’ for BV, but its good for folks to hear about our less then stellar experiences. Its good to know they are a back up for H bags too, although i am a fan of docride — she is working on my vintage BBK right now. So glad u shared — I am going to keep the Karung Monaco - i love the color and its lightweight and a perfect size (small rather then medium), and get a quote/send it to Rago to replace the lining. The bag looks unused on the exterior. The inside thoall kinds of stuff spilled into it.
Love your suggestion also for the phone cord tooi will look for metallic beads ….and i’ve found some dark gray/black key rings on etsy, so i can try to be creative (or find a creative cobbler and give him the supplies).

Since i am more in downsize then acquire mode, i am trying to be very thoughtful about any bags i choose to add, and really it came down to the lining on this one. I love the bag! But having a trusted source to replace the lining is key, and if Rago has done great work on Cavalpha’s BV, i would trust them. So Ms Monaco is a keeper

It's so pleasant browsing through the BV posts. I hop around to other threads and in some brands (well, one brand in particular) there is so much jockeying for merchandise and it just sounds so stressful. I enjoy the thrill of the chase when it comes to an older bag but not somebody else deciding if I am worthy of being offered a bag at a retail store.

Yeah, I don’t really get it. If you want a Birkin, go get one on Fashionphile, Yoogis or AFF. Why anyone would spend $15-20k on stuff you don’t really want anyway, just to be “allowed” to spend $12k is whickitywhickitywhack. All that other stuff ends up on the resale sites anyway. 
Is unboxing a bag in the special room worth all that? Thank goodness I don’t need a prespend for these amaze balls rubber boots. Amirite ladies?

Ya I stepped into french territory last year, ran back to BV as fast as I could. Total turn off that all bags not just Birkin’s and Kelly’s are only for the “special“ client at least on the west coast. Love my scarfs but I already have dishes.

Agree with you regarding stressful bag pursuits, i can’t imagine playing those games. And if you like larger bags (i do), there are some really well priced preloved/vintage bags out there right now, as V0N said. I’ve picked up a few, and i love them and would never sell them, but i keep reaching for my BV. I rarely carry my other brands too ….my TM BV’s are so beautiful, comfortable, easy to carry.this was a really interesting video showcasing DL’s new collection for Burberry….some of his designs are very similar to his BV creations….its the pricing tho thats a bit shocking
This was a good video too….i’ve wanted to add a pouch or mini jodie in chlorophyll at some point, its a very cool color….hoping no one here who has added one has experienced this. If you watch thru the end, you can see its multiple areas where the color/finish seems to be wearing off, at pressure points….and BV seems to be ignoring her

Seriously tho, if you sell bags to Rebag, and if you purchase bags from them, watch this. The underlying issue is a recent change in policy - they are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags sent to them, OR purchased from them. She explains it all in good detail. But i am going to think twice before buying from, or selling to, Rebag.

I enjoyed Cassie's video on Burberry. I thought the same. I noticed the overall look and feel of the Burberry website now looks a lot like BV's during his tenure. Even the same models. It doesn't feel very "Burberry" to me.
I'm shocked how quickly that Chlorophyll Jodie has deteriorated. It's the first I've seen of it. Curious if others are having the same issues. I would expect a special metallic like this one to have some issues eventually, but not so soon. I'm surprised by BV's lack of response too.

I think a metallic treatment like chlorophyll would be less fragile on the Cassette bag.
I know, right! Some of DL’s styles have really grown on me, and i’ve tried a couple (and returned) ….maybe its b/c i have so much TM BV to compare to, but the quality is just not there on newer BV……and at those prices, it should be.

I would be curious is anyone else is having these issues too …..it seems like a design flaw, and happens as the bag ages and those pressure points cause the materials to break down? BV ignoring her isn’t a good sign either.Great point — its those pressure points causing the issues. No pressure points in cassettes. I really like this color/treatment tho in the mini jodie and the mini pouch, but won’t add them after seeing this. There was one on FP recently and it went pretty fast.
