I started collecting the scarfs this summer and found quite a few of vintage scarfs. I love the heavy feel of the silk. Here a few of them...
Fleurs de lotus 1961,
Courbettes et Cabrioles 1962
Etriers 1964
I have also have a thing for Etriers... and that is a beautifully subtle color way of CetC

Received this Les Robes scarf from my mom which was given to her in 1968 from my father who passed away when I was young. Planning on having it framed due to the sentimental value it has. My mom forgot she had it until recently.

This is so beautiful, lovely memento to cherish.

My 80 year old La Tapisserie de Bayeux by Pittner from 1940
Oh ...I have to show my 15 year old DS this- he’s obsessed with European history - and he won his most recent Quizbowl tournament by answering a question about the Bayeux tapestry - he has always rolled his eyes when I want to walk into an H boutique- can’t wait to show him this...I think/hope he’ll be silently impressed - Thanks for sharing ! Unbelievable this is from 1940 !

Thank you, I have always loved history (all kinds of fields even cultural and art) and have a soft spot for tapestries. Hoping to visit France and see the Bayeux tapestry some day. How nice to have a son who is interested in European history, there is so much to explore and when travelling it makes the journey more interesting. Boys in their teens read less nowadays but reading is so important!

This one has some colour running issues but they are not so noticeable when wearing the scarf and with the special material (not 100% silk) just add character. Enclosed a pic, an 80 year old piece is seldom flawless :)
