Received my Trim 24 duo yesterday. I was very concerned with the drop length when worn crossbody. I sent a message to Hermes asking for the bag's longest drop. Their response, "Our Trim Duo 24 bag's strap measures 9.1" long." Huh? Will hit right under my arm? I'm 5'9" and simply can't stand it when a drop is too short. Their response didn't make sense so I looked elsewhere for measurements and found it at a preloved site. I have seen photos of younger people wearing cross-bodies higher, above the waist too? Too uncomfortable for me. At any rate, I decided to take a chance.

Well! Purchased the lime/yellow and to my delight it fits Perfectly! PERFECTLY!.....on the last hole. I love the way it snuggles to the body.....snuggles?......need to find another word.....it truly is that comfy. It 'was' going to be the last designer bag I would ever purchase....yes, I'm up there....I already have beautiful pieces in different colors/sizes for any occasion. Had a hard time rationalizing this cute thing but my heart kept repeating....you don't have a color like this! My brain tried to calm my heart.....she lost.

This is a terrific errand bag. It holds my essentials nicely and oh so comfortable while doing so....ok, you caught me, I just received her yesterday and haven't worn her out of the house but I have pounced from one mirror to the next checking every angle in different lighting and was comfy the entire time.

Yes, I wrote, above, that this 'was' to be my last designer bag.....but......late last night while trying to go to sleep I kept thinking, "You don't have a dark brown. You have tan/cammeo, black, blue, denim, tweed, etc. but not a rich dark brown." Through sleepy eyes and yawns I grabbed my iPad and clicked away for the Trim 24 in the Havane and immediately hit the sheets. I thought for Sure I would wake this morning with regrets.....nope! It was the right choice. She'll be here this coming week.

SO! I am complete.....no more bags!!!

Not sure I'm listening.

Congratulations on your gorgeous new bag! I love the color. I own a Trim 31 II and love it, and I have been curious about the crossbody style. Looking forward to your action shots.

Forgive my ignorance but......action shots? Another asked for the same.....does that mean to simply put it on and take a photo? Am I overthinking this? When I think action shots I picture myself chasing my dog down the street wearing this bag.....I know that's not what you mean. Right?

I’d love to see that photo. But yeah, I meant seeing the bag out in the wild: in a cafe, being worn, shopping at Costco. It helps me get a sense of scale, color in different lights, etc.

Ahhhhh......understand. "....out in the wild", too funny.

Can't imagine my taking photos of myself 'out in the wild'.....too self conscious. Just tried to fulfill your request inside the kingdom.

Still in my PJs so threw on a white shirt, photo isn't great quality.....btw, I'm always impressed with the quality of the photos you young gals shoot and post!.....at any rate, you'll get an idea on the size. I'm 5'9", weigh 157 lbs...as of this morning....might help with scale.

Thanks! I’m about your size both height and weight, so this is a really useful comparison for me.

Also, not a young gal at this point

'....not a young gal at this point'?

I forget the age range I'm in.....honestly do.....until I hear my range is high risk/elderly according to the media....huh? Really? That was my dad! Not me! But, I remember the year of my birth which is now called 'mid-century' and realize, yep, I'm there.

Where does the Trim 31 hit you? Can it be worn crossbody?

Age is a very strange thing. At 55, I just realized that I now qualify for senior day at the Y. Wait, what?!

I have the older version of the shoulder bag so it doesn’t have a crossbody length strap. I have seen on this thread that people buy belts to use as an extender strap on the older Trims, and it looks great. I have thought of doing that so that I. Oils use it as a hands-free travel bag. It have not tried it out.

Yes! Age creeps up on you when you're not looking. I was about your age when I got my first, ".....for your age." Have you received one of those yet? 55....you could be my little sister. My little brother is a year older than you.....I was 12 when he was born.

Tip! Get ready for medicare. They force you to take it when you turn 65. Before 65 I was able to go to any Dr I wanted....it was insulting the first time I called an office to make an appt and they said they didn't accept medicare. There are also medications I took covered by my insurance. But! No longer covered. One is $1000 for 3 months and another is $300 a month. My meds now take a huge BITE out of my handbag budget. Not to worry, I've adjusted. I was doing quite well until I wanted the Trim 24.....not just the one but two. Bad bad girl. I'm on restriction.

I got the "...for your age" when I turned 50. I was both insulted and flattered at the same time. I have older half-sibs who are now in their late 60's so I'm on the flip end of your sibling situation!
Thanks for the medicare tip. How frustrating that must be. That cost makes no sense at all regarding your meds.
Well, congrats on not one but TWO trims. Can't wait to see the other one you get. I think they are the most underrated H style, and beautiful in their simpicity.

I tried every way to take a photo with me wearing this luscious Trim Duo 24 that arrived this morning. I gave up. So.....below are two photos under different lighting. The first has more natural light and the second near the light cast from a 'warm' light bulb.

I knew I was going to love the style and thought I'd love the color but....the color.....so beautiful, much richer in person. I can wear with all my fall/winter clothes. Ha! Which is basically what I wear in the summer.....white shirt/top.....but in the winter I throw on a cardigan. I will probably wear it before summer ends.....white linen pants and white linen shirt will be a lovely backdrop to show off this piece, making it the star and has me grinning as I type.

Must add: The scarf is a dear one...purchased in 1977 on a shopping trip to the finer stores in down town Los Angeles/Beverly Hills with an older woman, my mother's age. She had great taste and guided me to lovely items I could barely afford at the time. I carried only cash. Can't remember if it was Neimans....Berdorf....I should remember. The store was elegant as was the lovely lady. At any rate, she urged me to purchase a leather belt....which I grew too large to wear but still have.....and the scarf....both on sale. Although on sale, they were still pricey for my young budget. Loved the belt she chose but the silk scarf's print wasn't my taste at the time. She assured me I was going to wear it for decades in different ways and to always purchase the finest pieces I could afford.....not a bunch of 'stuff'. She was right. I've warn this scarf in different ways for 44 years and counting. Isn't she perfect for Miss Trim.

The bag is beautiful and believe it too will be around in 44 years.....I won't....hopefully my grand-daughter will appreciate/enjoy all my finer pieces and not sell them at a yard sale......I'll haunt her if she does.....she's been warned. ;-).

My apologies if you said it in an earlier post that I missed, but what color and leather is this bag? It’s gorgeous!

The color is Havane....rich dark chocolate....yum.
Below is the link to the bag. It's currently unavailable. Hopefully the link will work for you.

Back to the color.....a stand out. I don't normally go for browns but this with the matching stitching was too perfect, couldn't stop thinking of it, kinda hoped I wouldn't want to keep once in my clutches....wrong....clutching!

Hello,
Can someone please help me with my two questions:
A) how much a trim II in Clemence leather weighs
B) can it stand on its own? Is the bottom (width) wide and sturdy enough that the bag stands upright on its own.
I don’t like when a bags lies down. It feels to me like a sack that spills out everything.
Thank you!
