ode to the TRIM!

Hello Trim lovers,

Does anyone know if the Trim was ever made with a detachable, thin strap?
I ask because I saw what I was almost certain was a Trim, but I'd never seen that style strap. I'm assuming it was detachable, as the bag had two metal o-rings sort of like an evelyne.

Did it have a name? Or was there maybe a very similar design? Or maybe I saw a knock off?

If memory serves me right, I do recall seeing/reading about the trim having a possible strap extender that you could buy? Either that, or it was a crafty member that made their own.

I saw a vintage trim with an extended strap on ebay awhile back. On closer inspection, you could see that the owner just stitched a leather strap to the bag's current strap. It looked messily done unfortunately.

I don't know if you received a response to your question, but the Trim II (with gusset) in the 31cm size is unlined/unfinished. I have a Trim II 35 from the year 2000 and it is unlined with one open and one zipped pocket on the inside. The Trim II in the 35cm size is lined.

I don't own a Trim I (yet!), but I believe the older ones are all unlined.

I have a Trim II 31 from the late 90s and it is lined in the same leather as the exterior (cerf), with the same 2 pockets. So, some Trim IIs are definitely lined.

Do they still make this bag in all leather? I asked my SA and he said he hasn't seen one yet and that maybe only the canvas option was still being made. Should I look pre-loved/vintage or as someone seen some in the flesh recently? Thank you

I believe so. I was shown one last year in the Lyon boutique.

Just got a preloved Trim II 31 and wore it to go shopping. Stayed in my shoulder perfectly and did not need adjusted or pushed back up on my shoulder once. I forgot I was wearing it! That’s the mark of a great shoulder bag

I haven't seen it in the website for some time now. I was wondering myself if the bag was still in production. I have a vintage Trim II, but lately been wanting a crossbody option that wasn't the Evelyne PM.
