Yes , you ladies do look sensational with your Trims, and J.O. has a contemporary style that really shows me what a greatly versatile bag it is .
Still waiting for the rain to stop so I can use it !

VnSoie Love the fact you adore yours and have already used it so much , it really does suit you . It can take me several months to come round to using things : I hate wearing new shoes/bags/ clothes as they feel very 'other' to start with .
Which reminds me that I've never worn the H shoes I bought in the sale 2 years ago .

Sweet frou frou, Use it even in the rain!! My Raisin Epsom Trim II has been in the rain and snow lots and lots and lots of time, and absolutely nothing bad has ever, ever, ever happened. No fear. That's the great thing about Epsom. Just don't go brushing up against stone walls or something. :)

VnSoie, And yours certainly IS gorgeous on you. I love that bag and am so happy you found it.

Arabesques Wow, I'd never have realised Epsom was rainproof !
Lots of testing opportunities here , rain , rain and more rain .
I need to get the Trim to feel 'me' by using it all the time ...

I am pretty sure Jackie's was a 35. I love the non gusset style, perhaps because it reminds me of her. She had a black one too, I think. I have the barenia toile version and a black 35. Your size would be amazing to have for travel or those times when you just needed to carry more. I am 5'8" and find the 35 a great day size and it fits plenty~like that it works with a dress, suit or more casual wear. Easy to travel with becuase it is flat when not worn. I find it subtle but so HERMES. Somewhere there are pictures of Jackie's sister Lee R borrowing Jackie's Trim bags.
I am eyeing this, which is similar to mine. These do not come around often in good condition. How many Trims does a woman need? I feel like I would hoarding Trims, but a Grail is a Grail, right? Jackie is my style Idol. She looks as good today in her pictures as she did then. There is something so timeless about her style.

That's a gorgeous Trim you're eyeing there, TT. And thanks for posting the pics of JO and LR! Can't get enough. I just read an interesting book about Jackie's career in publishing.

Oh, Arabesques, I'm glad you chimed in about Epsom. I was thinking that, but didn't want to misguide FrouFrou. I will say that my Evergrain did just fine in drizzly/rainy Amsterdam and Paris. I wiped her off when she got rained on, but only felt the need to hide her under my coat once.

FrouFrou, thank you for your very kind words.

Thanks! The TRIM is just CLASSIC>
A forever style. And Jackie really was/is an ICON isn't she. So idolized and yet so real and down to earth.

Yes--if you're into books, I really enjoyed _Reading Jackie_ by William Kuhn.

I should thank you also for your other inspiration over on Ode to Horn...I guess I'm your 'little sis', not quite twin, now....go check.... :))

Dear Ladies, I need your help! I have just found a lovely pre-loved Trim 31 II, but I am not sure whether to get it or not. I am 5'8'' and US size 8-10. Do you think 31 is too small for me, would it look silly and disproportional on my frame?

Dear FrouFrou, I love your Rouge H Trim! It looks perfect on you, could you tell me which size is it?
Memo Thankyou for the welcome ! I think Trims are back in the stores now .

The bag arrived , and I do need advice .
It is lovely, and my feeling is I chose well as I really like the colour and style. However the bag has an issue that may be a problem.
I've posted to Docride to see what she thinks.
Please understand this is my first H bag, and I don't know much about the subject . I just want a bag I will love using [and it won't be one of many H bags ]
The bag is lovely , great colour and no flaws or scuffs .

However the bag looks squashed as if it's been compressed by storage maybe [ it arrived beautifully packed in a rigid cardboard box] You can see the sides and base bulge out , also the handle is distorted.
I'm pretty sure it's Epsom , and from what I've read it is completely rigid and should keep its form 100% So it may never return to the original shape.

Should I keep it , or is this distortion unacceptable ?

If the latter I need to contact the seller very soon, to see if she will accept it back .

MaggyH Glad you like the Trim ,I'm getting to like it more and more.
It's a Trim II 31 , like the one you're considering . I'm 5' 6'' and quite slight built.
It is much much smaller than any bag I own , so it feels a bit restricted for the everyday city use ...umbrella , bottle of water , book ..no chance!
It is lovely to have as another option if I'm going out , I've put it on a chair so that I'll remember it needs to be taken out too...
Hope this helps, and love to know what you decide !
