Congratulations, FrouFrou! Your Trim II is beautiful on you and I hope you enjoy it very much. Arabesques' raisin Trim is a powerful motivator, isn't it?

This is my new-to-me 43 Evergrain Trim I, from a lovely tPFer. It is in beautiful shape and I took it on my recent trip to drizzly/rainy Amsterdam and Paris, where it performed beautifully. It held so much and was really comfortable on my shoulder. I had a belt cut down to use as a shoulder-strap extender, to enable me to wear it as a cross-body bag, but I didn't even feel the need to do that.

For size reference, I'm 5'8". I was concerned about the size, but I don't think it's overwhelming, and even when it's really stuffed, it doesn't look huge. I was afraid a Trim II could easily get out of hand, with my purse-stuffing proclivities.

I haven't seen Trims in stores, but I asked SA about them last fall when I heard here that they were discontinued. She pulled out the book and showed me that they are available to order. I believe that was the Trim II, IIRC.

This is really perfect on you! As another tall person (5'10" here!), thank you for posting the modeling shot. It really helps with "distance shopping." ;)

i'm 159cm and between size 0-2 and the 35trimII is fabulous not just for travel but for work too. i don't have the 35trimII in clemence but i have it in evergraine or ever calf and i don't find it heavy at all.

this is me with trimII 35, i don't find it big on me at all.

Thank you for posting this, I love your stylish looks (your pics are among the reasons I'm also hunting for a Bolide atm). I think I'm off to negotiate w seller.

VnSoie Love your Trim , it looks really cool and elegant and seems to be amazingly versatile.

Loves I'd love to see a bit more of your Trim , you look very stylish in the scarf BTW !

My new Trim is languishing in the orange bag . I used it last week and TBH , felt a bit like Margaret Thatcher but not as sexy LOL
I'm so not used to a rigid bag , nor to a smallish bag . On the plus side I can see it looks great on others : Arabesques wears hers with great panache .
When our weather improves I shall use it for a week, and if I still feel uncomfortable it'll be for the high jump !

Love this!! Evergrain is such a gorgeous leather with a nice matte finish. The Trim 1 without the gusset (like Jackie K/O used to wear) is my favorite style. I think the Trim is so CLASSIC Hermes and just so wearable. Elegant but can be dressed up or down. I have never seen this larger size. I have seen a 31 and a 35 but this big size is very cool too.
GREAT BAG and to everyone here, the TRIM ROCKS, and I am so glad it can still be ordered!

Loves this looks wonderful on you. My Trims are in the 35 size too. And again the evergrain is one of the best leathers IMO. Love the dark matte texture and hand of this skin. You are rocking this bag.
You are channeling Jackie O right??

Thank you, Calexandre, TankerToad, loves (love your 35 Trim II and look at those legs! :) ), and FrouFrou. I feel very lucky to have found this 43 and am really enjoying the evergrain.

FrouFrou, I hope you fall in love with your bag. It's truly beautiful and I thought it looked like "you" in your modeling shot.

A word about traveling with this bag, since it does have an open top: I normally would not have considered doing so, being ultra-careful, but the bag is so snug up under my arm that I was comfortable even in crowded conditions. Of course passport and cash stayed in the zipped pocket and against my body, and I always kept my hand on the strap in crowds, but it really is easy to carry it close to the body and secure.

Agree and that evergrain calf is soft and comfortable to wear. It will continue ot patina with wear which will make it better and better. You have a terrific bag there in that Trim for sure.

Yes, she is inspiring, and she got her money's worth out of that Trim (and I hope Caroline is still using it)! I had thought I would have to have a Trim II, but after poring over photos of JKO with that Trim I stuffed to its gills sometimes, I thought...heck...if she can stuff a bag...so can I. I don't think I could manage a 31 on a daily basis without a gusset, but I love love love my 43.

Thank you so much, TankerToad, for your kind comments. They mean a lot, coming from someone like you with your collection!

I am pretty sure Jackie's was a 35. I love the non gusset style, perhaps because it reminds me of her. She had a black one too, I think. I have the barenia toile version and a black 35. Your size would be amazing to have for travel or those times when you just needed to carry more. I am 5'8" and find the 35 a great day size and it fits plenty~like that it works with a dress, suit or more casual wear. Easy to travel with becuase it is flat when not worn. I find it subtle but so HERMES. Somewhere there are pictures of Jackie's sister Lee R borrowing Jackie's Trim bags.
I am eyeing this, which is similar to mine. These do not come around often in good condition. How many Trims does a woman need? I feel like I would hoarding Trims, but a Grail is a Grail, right? Jackie is my style Idol. She looks as good today in her pictures as she did then. There is something so timeless about her style.
