Just a small tip/info for those struggling between sizes 18 and 22 ... 18 is a really small bag but for this type of bag I think it's a better choice than 22 ... what I don't like about 22 is the length of the handle which is a little too long (16 cm) to carry at the crook of the arm and due to the size of the base which makes it look bulky...these are the reasons why I chose size 18

Thank you, this helped me!

Hi all. I’m really excited to share with you the strap I got from Etsy. Huge thanks to @Yuriloved for posting hers months ago. Before I get to the pics, here are the specs of the strap I had custom made:

- Seller shoulderbagstrap on etsy
- Item is the 30 mm Togo leather strap
- I got 70 cm length (27.5 in) and asked for the loops to be 15 cm (5.9 in), based on the loop size Yuriloved got. I believe Yuri’s strap was longer at 80 cm.
- I am 5’5” and didn’t want the bag to sit too low on my hip. Also taking into account the handles would add length too, when the strap is on. So I requested 70 cm total length instead of 80 cm. You can see it’s a good length for me. I could’ve actually gone maybe 60 cm but maybe it wouldn’t be as easy to put my hand in.
- The width is good, only slightly wider than the handles of my Pico 22. I didn’t want too wide then it wouldn’t match the handles width.
- The length actually came out to be 72 cm instead of 70. Oh well, I’m not going to fuss about 2 cm.
- It was $53, purchased Jan 10 and arrived Jan 27.
- I also have a Pico 22 insert from White Fox, inside my bag.
- I will report back whether this strap is easy to use. I will say that first impressions....the “resting state” of the bag isn’t as pretty with the strap on...nor when carried by the handles (strap kinda gets in the way unless you push it off to the side). I also wonder if the glazing will rub on the handles....so maybe a twilly on the handles is the next step. Or, maybe having the loops a bit bigger/longer....maybe 20 cm instead of 15? Not sure how that would look though.
- Anyway, pics! My bag is Bleu Nuit and I asked her for the same color. It’s not listed in her color swatches but she does have it. It’s a fairly close match, maybe 95% match. I’ll look at it again in the sunlight tomorrow.

What do you all think? Good, bad? Honest opinions please thanks!
You rock @Annawakes! The detail you provided is so key, thank you! I'm going to deff do what you did when I get my Pico. I think your idea for slightly longer/bigger strap loops is handy, that'd make it easier on/off for just stashing it in your bag for as-needed use.

When you say the glazing run on the handles, do you mean the edges of the P22 handles or is there glazing on the etsy strap?

I meant the edges of the P22 handles. I think this concern would be alleviated with longer/bigger strap loops. Hopefully getting them bigger (20 cm vs 15 cm, which I got) would allow the Etsy strap to move more freely along the handle, thus avoiding rubbing on the pico handle edges.

You can see from my pic that the loops are fairly tight around the handles. The edges of the Etsy strap also have glazing, but they don’t rub....it’s the edges of the pico handles that contact the flat side of the Etsy strap, when you button the strap on.

Ahh makes total sense. Yes that shows in your photos, I just didn't realize quite how tight it is. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks so much for sharing the strap details. I have ordered the same strap in 70cm length with 20cm loops in Rouge color. Hopefully the color will match my Picotion18 in Rouge de couer. The strap costs about $67. I will report back when I receive it. Again, thanks so much for sharing

Thanks so much. I was going to get 22 but I feel 18 is the right size for me.

Awesome, I’m curious to know whether the 20 cm loops are a better fit!

I am planning to sell my one mini bag (super low ROI. Maybe carry 2-3x a year =P ) to getting a P22.
I used to own a P22 in a blue shade which was sold because i didnt like that blue anymore(Blue Izmir).

Any idea what kind of colors come in Maurice leather? I'm close to getting a black/ghw but am curious about TM leather.

I too am curious about Maurice for anyone who can chime in. From what I read it's slightly more structured without being too rigid, but there are some accounts of it being just as pliable as Clemence...

I have 2 different bag styles in Maurice and Clemence - Evelyne 29 and Picotin Lock 18. I also have 24/24s in Maurice and Togo. I’ve noticed a small difference in the floppiness of Clemence vs Maurice in the Evelyne but no difference in the floppiness of Maurice vs Togo in the 24/24. The most noticeable difference is in the Picotin which also happens to be the least structured of the 3 bag styles. My Picotin Maurice leather looks and feels noticeably stiffer and thicker than my Clemence Picotin but whether the Maurice Picotin will flop as much as the Clemence after more usage I can’t say since both bags were bought during this pandemic and have hardly been used.

Thank you - this is exactly the kind of info I was looking for :) I almost snagged a P18 online this morning - it was gorgeous, gold clemence with touch matte handles but I decided to hold out for Maurice. Hope someone here got that bag!
