Hello pareo thread!!!! I never thought I'd be as taken by these giant cotton wonders as I have been. The first time I tried one on in boutique (Mythiques Phoenix.... don't hurt me! ) I said "non...non non..."

And now I say "oui oui oui!" to cotton all day long.

I believe I owe this pic to dear @scarf1 , and possibly @Snausages as well. A group pic of my current pareo family.

Along the top row are giant cotton 140 scarves, and I think those short lived releases have their own thread but they live with the other cotton scarves in my corral so they are in the pic too. But the bottom row are my current pareos, which I like to wear as a scarf or shoulder wrap or drape in summer, and as a scarf in cooler weather or rainy weather because I absolutely don't have to worry about them. They can lay out to dry, no fear of moths like cashmere, and no water spots like silk.

From left to right are Brides de Couer which I got for my last birthday from MrBC, Coaching, Robe du Soir (which had several excellent color ways in pareo when it was out), Savana Dance, Grand Fronds (twins with @scarf1 ), not one but TWO Flamingo Party pareos, my newest one Modernism Tropicale and a nameless H pareo that they seem to do now and then with a random non scarf release design. It also happens to be my softest as it has literally been through the wringer with multiple washes and ironing, rumpling, re-ironing, re washing, crinkling and straitening....it puts up with my abuse like a champ.

And here are some of the ways I like to wear them:

Yes! Thanks for the reminder @Meta . I always forget to put things in the Clubhouse threads.

Adding my new (!!) pareo from the SS 22 thread.

This is the Jin et Leo pareo by Jin Kwon (artist for 12 Leopards) H103450M in CW12 pink yellow blue

JinetLeo.jpg

I mostly wear them as a scarf since I live somewhere it is hot to temperate a lot and they are super casual this way.

I'm sorry I didn't see these replies! Yes! They do sometimes come in scarf patterns. and also riffs on scarf patterns (like Zebra Twins and Les Leopards ).

Hi @Croisette7 ! My apologies for not seeing this! The purple and yellow giant cotton is Tout en Quilt. I think there were 3 or 4 patterns of the giant cotton scarves (Les Cles, Astrologies, Tout en Quilt, and maybe ???? one other??? possibly Chasse en Indie???? )

@Croisette7 - I couldn't edit anymore, but it was Lalbhai that was the 4th giant cotton scarf, not Chasse en I.
