Wow beautiful collection! Where can I get the 140 cotton shawl?

@JeanGranger - Thanks! And my apologies for not seeing this question sooner! I must have missed a lot in November....

The 140cm cotton shawls are only available preloved right now, unless H decides to start making them again. There were only 4 designs released, as far as I know. I believe Jan at ItsAllGoode currently has a purple Astrologie last time I checked her site. Otherwise, you just have to poke around for them.

Yes! Thanks for the reminder @Meta . I always forget to put things in the Clubhouse threads.

Adding my new (!!) pareo from the SS 22 thread.

This is the Jin et Leo pareo by Jin Kwon (artist for 12 Leopards) H103450M in CW12 pink yellow blue

I mostly wear them as a scarf since I live somewhere it is hot to temperate a lot and they are super casual this way.

I got my first brand new pareo today. Popped up on H.com last week. I wanted a larger format all cotton scarf.
Farniente by Felipe Jardim 36x60. For my purpose of wanting a cotton scarf in heat, I think I can manage with the rectangle shape. But it isn’t great for neck wearing imo.
I got this because I wanted to feel the weight of a modern day new pareo. Also, I thought the abstract print would translate well in a pareo. And lastly, I thought the colors would suit my summer wardrobe. It is light and fairly airy. It isn’t stiff imo.
I tried it on immediately! Had this shirt on under my sweatshirt.

The Story behind
For this summery design, Felipe Jardim drew inspiration from his home in Rio de Janeiro. "Excelentes Vistas Solares" is a former mansion converted into an apartment block in the 1960s and located on the edge of Tijuca National Park, the largest urban forest in Brazil. Landscape gardener Burle Marx designed a swimming pool among the rocks and tropical vegetation. It's the ideal place to escape the frenzy of the city.

I think it is really pretty on you as a scarf. Are you going to keep or send back do you think?

FWIW- if you fold it is half it them measures mostly 36x36-ish and you can then treat it like a regular carre at that point for folding, But try a "bias" fold on the rectangle. you might find you like that better than keeping to square folding techniques. I'll try to post pics of what I mean.

So pretty, Nomad, I love the colors and the modern graphics! The pattern folded reminds of Matisse paper cut-outs. :flowers:

ah yes! Hadn’t worked that out yet about the folded being close to our usual size. And yes!, bias fold, Brilliant. I see a rectangle, n apparently I treat it as a rectangle haha. single minded. Definitely keeping it  It checks all the boxes for me for my first modern new pareo. I would even be curious to see the other colorways this came in. No idea what season it’s from. As we all have seen, sometimes a scarf from 2 years ago can show up online haha.

:faint: brilliant. Yes it does remind of Matisse!! Thank you for that. I knew there was something about the graphics that I loved.
I love it!!!
Thank you! It’s a keeper. Much less fabric to wrangle than a giant cotton
I probably speak for many here when I say @bunnycat has made me a bit obsessed about pareos. Coupled with my growing Alice Shirley obsession how could I resist this UTW? (Had to try it on even tho I was wearing a tshirt.)

like @Nomad said, the cotton isn’t as airy as, say, a moussie. Looking to The Maestra for guidance

Coming back again to tag @Ladybaga! Pieces like this with beautiful primary colors always make me think of our lovely Ladybaga! Could not help but thinking how lovely this would look with your red Kelly, Ladyb!
