Ode to the Evelyne

I don’t know if this is the place to post this but I was wondering if it’s possible to order a leather strap for an evelyne? I came across this picture on Instagram and I love the look of it. I was never a fan of evelynes but the leather strap changed my mind:love:

I have purchased separate solid colour leather strap from the boutique in 50cm for my evelyne. They are not for evelyne specifically but the work with evelyne. I have never seen them on the website but my SA had them in store. I have several evelyne and leather straps for all of the PM and GM. I have never purchased a leather strap for the tpm.

So excited...after a little stalking I stopped by the new local NYC flagship and voila, my first H bag, the Evelyne 33...I had originally wanted the 29 in black but am tall and love the size and the drape of the Clemence after having seen it in the wild a few times (had originally favored stiffer leather). I had been between the two sizes in etain or etoupe but could never pull the trigger pre 2020 and now they are apparently hard to come by. I ordered the TGM off of TRR: too big...the 29...too small. Had to be black: getting the strap dirty would also drive me crazy as it's an everyday bag. I dreamed of a Birkin or Kelly for decades, but realized that I would never carry them in these casual, work from home, apocalyptic-ish times. This seems like the perfect ride-or-die sidekick these days. I have 7 Chanel bags collecting dust except for my patent caviar WOC with blackened SHW for nights out. I also have a few limited-edition/seasonal bags, an XL GST GHW, XL Executive GHW, NIB Maxi Flap in lamb with GHW...maybe I'll sell it: I cannot bear the thought of scratching it. At any rate, all your photos on figure have helped me with bag sizing/proportion and so here's my own (terrible) photo for reference (I'm about 5'10"). Excuse the outfit as well, but it's proof that it pairs with athleisure! I know the H goes on the inside but since I'm not actually carrying grooming brushes etc., the SA said it's flex either way these days.

Congratulations! Your bag is gorgeous and you look fabulous. I'm a 33/GM fan, too. It's my most used and absolute favourite bag. I also prefer palladium hardware.

BTW, did you get a bag organizer? Will I hurt it if I bring my Macbook Air in it for a meeting (have plenty of other bags for that purpose)! Plan on traveling light with it (just my phone, a brush, a small wallet, etc.)...also: how sensitive is it to rain? Thanks :D

I sprayed my bag with waterproofing spray and was out with it in the rain several times. In my area the weather is very wet in general. I had no problems. :-) I use organizers from Etsy. Sooni and Senamon. I also have a 7RP organizer, but in PM size. I found the Sooni one to be just as good. I think a MacBook Air would be fine for a short time but I have one myself and find it quite heavy for carrying in a handbag.

Hi Everyone, hoping to gain some expert knowledge - I would really love to purchase an Evelyne TPM in Noir with silver hardware.
I will be in Paris in April (currently live in Glasgow) would I need to make a leather appointment or can this be requested as a walk in.
Are these really difficult to get and is it worth trying the London stores I will be there in March.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
I am possibly open to other colours.

They have a lot of the TPM size on The Real Real and you can use MyUS to ship to the U.K.

For the Evelyn TPMs that come with a patterned strap, does anyone know if you have the option of buying a plain matching strap for the bag when you purchase direct from Hermes with an SA? Or would you need to buy another available strap style or scarf as an alternative?

I apologize if this is a silly question or a duplicate, I'm just struggling to find if it's been covered anywhere else!

(PS I know this image is from a reseller, but I just wanted to use it as a reference for the type of strap I was referring to!)
