Ode to the bolide

Hello Bolide lovers. Now that I've been using my 1923 25 more, I just wanted to share an observation. Because the opening is wider and extends low, I feel like I always have to zip it shut to secure my stuff. Whereas with the 27, I don't have an issue leaving it open even if I'm walking (short distances). Something to consider.
Good point, I do find myself needing to zip the 25. I was just comparing my 1923 25 and my 27, and noticing that the 27 actually appears a wee bit smaller! The handles on the 27 are more slender. Both designs have a special place in my heart -- the Bolide is the perfect day to day H bag for me. My 31 is a bit too big, looks more matronly than the 25 or 27, but I still love her too.

Does anyone know if they are doing anything special for the 100 year birthday of the bolide?

I love both designs too!

I asked my SA about the 100th anniversary, and he doesn't have any intel yet unfortunately. So curious and excited though on what will happen this year with regards to special offerings and/or events!

I haven’t heard of anything special for the centennial anni the bolide. I wonder by special if Big H rolled out the bolide on wheels and bolide desordre, neither of which I cared for.992336AA-6B06-4EEA-A5BC-AB0B66EA4D7C.png221360BE-3CB3-41BE-B6AB-3765F18EB53F.pngE0169EC2-F7DC-4F27-B2F3-DCF0C4E7B829.png699A73F5-D3E1-4396-A208-233FF9C3701C.png4752B63B-F56D-48F2-9A00-38C5DB39F640.png307086F2-E502-4348-BCBE-86E33A43DF75.png

I have never understood the collector bag thing. I sorta get why a vip would want a cutsie Birkin made to look like the Mothership, but these out there designs are fairly ugly and quite wacko. I would love to see someone actually try to use the skateboard Bolide - seems like one would be likely to incur injuries.

Thank you so much. She's in epsom, which actually took me by surprise - I thought it would be very stiff/rigid but it's actually not. It for sure has structure, but the leather still feels quite supple.
Your bag is beautiful. I have the all leather Azap wallet in Epsom and love it. I have been using it for three years and it remains a lovely supple durable leather. Enjoy your wonderful bolide.

Both you and your Bolide are gorgeous! May I ask the age of this beautiful Bolide because they don't do Rouge H like they used to - nowadays Rouge H has too much of brown undertone. But this one is perfection!
Thank you for your comment!
The year is 2020, letter Y. Leather is Epsom.
The shade comes out differently in different leathers. I have a SLG in Swift, where the Rouge H is dark with brown shade. Very differnt from the Rouge H on my Bolide.
