oh my , i dont usually like croc bags, but i love yours
I think Bolides (and Plumes) look particularly amazing in exotic skins. Something to do with the purity of line and min hw.
Hi all! I am new to Hermes and I love the look of the Bolide. Might want to entry the world of Hermes bags with this beautiful bag. Is it available in boutiques / not to difficult to get or is it not produced and only possible to get in the preloved market? Sorry but I am new so I might be asking of something that is common knowledge for you all -
I am also keen on the GP or the Picotin... trying to gain some knowledge here before perhaps visiting the boutique. Am I likely to find a Bolide in the boutique? Do you people think this might be a good entry bag? Thanks! -

Are you looking for the classic bolide or the bolide 1923. The classic bolide is pretty readily available. Just like other bags, the 30 is much more available than the smaller one. I have seen the bolide 1923 mini in the wild but have not seen it in store.Hi all! I am new to Hermes and I love the look of the Bolide. The Bolide was my first H bag! I got the 35cm size and I use it for work almost every day. My local store had a few, but not in the color and size I wanted, but my SA was able to find it in another store. I love it so much, although it is very floppy now after 2 1/2 years of near constant use! The leather (clemence for mine) just gets better with age.Hi all! An incredibly practical, gorgeous, under the radar bag- I LOVE mine! You should be able to go in and chat about it at least- Tell them what color, etc. you are interested in and it should be able to happen relatively quickly.Good luck!!
I already mentioned it in another thread. Today I was at a Hermes store for the first time. I looked at a bolide. I have never seen a more perfect bag. The size (31), the color (Bougainvillier), the slouchy leather. I was completely overwhelmed. The SA was so friendly!
And now I have to think whether I can spend that much money on a bag. Do you think that the color is too poppy for a first H bag and also probably the only H bag?

The Bolide 31 was my first Hermes bag and I understand what you're saying, it really is perfect.
I initially wanted a black Bolide but since the style is quite subtle I changed my mind and went for Rouge Grenat ... a subtle, darkish red but still very much red.
Bourganville is definitely a brighter red but if you like a red handbag, it's not too bright imo.
And of course, I have to add, it most likely will not be your only Hermes bag
but when I got my Bolide, I thought it would be the only one and red was my choice 
I wanted ( and got ) a black Bolide as my first bag- perfect for many reasons- for me. The red may be perfect for you. I initially wanted a black Bolide but since the style is quite subtle I changed my mind and went for Rouge Grenat ... a subtle, darkish red but still very much red.

Since I too bought my supposedly first and last bag the beautiful Bolide

Thank you for your comments and answers! The thing is: I never thought I would want a Hermes. But as I wrote in the 'edited journey' thread, I have only two bags and find it difficult to find another one because I don't like any bag that is sold currently (I always wanted a YSL muse but couldn' afford one when they were sold). Until the Bolide. I was also sure that I wanted a neutral color (there is this nice camel color - sorry if I don't get the name). And I never thought I would want a red bag, I only like pink bags. But there is a thing about the store, the package, the light, the SA - I just fell for the color. I'm afraid that I will buy some Hermes items once I decide for the bolide....
