Etoile, congratulations! The Farandole looks beautiful on you. I have the 160cm and it is one of my most loved jewelry pieces. Like you I adore the weight and versatility.

Many thanks Maedi! I imagine being able to wear it a lot! So glad to hear how much you love yours. I also tried on a ring today, that I loved, but that stayed behind! ;)

The Farondole looks gorgeous on you. I know you will wear it often!! Enjoy in hoof health!

I meant to say enjoy in good health!!

Thank you poodlicious, so very nice of you! And I loved your typo, so cute! From now on, I'll always hope to have "hoof health" :D Funny also in that the ring I tried today, but left behind was one of the new Gallop pieces (a horse head that runs perpendicular to/across the finger). It was adorable, but I'd prefer to wear it on my ring finger, and it was too big.

I've enjoyed this thread so much! Last weekend, I read through all 73 pages, in preparation for a visit to my boutique. I was looking for thoughts about, and photos of the Farandole necklace. I gleaned so much great information!

Today, I had the luxury of trying the 80cm, the 120cm, and the 160cm. It was so very helpful to be able to try all three lengths, and to play with them a bit. Most recently, I'd thought I wanted the 160cm. But quickly, with a bit of back and forth between the 160cm and the 120cm, it was clear which was best for me. My wonderful sales associate, who is such a gem, helped me weigh the pros and cons. Very happily, the 120cm came home with me!

It's such a beautiful necklace in person! I'd always thought it was attractive, but now I understand all the fuss! It's so gorgeous, luxuriously weighty, and of course beautifully crafted. I slipped it on as soon as I got home to take a photo. So, perhaps a bit over-accessorized, here is my new Farandole! This length reminds me of the wonderfully long necklaces I love, of the 1920s.

Thanks for letting me share my first piece of Hermes silver!

Congratulations, Etoile de Mer. The 120cm is a beauty! You will wear her so much, you'll soon wonder how you ever lived without her. I understand what you say about the craft of it; near two years later, I remain in awe of mine. I still carefully next it in the box every time, when I rarely even wash my face before bed, I'm so lazy.

Can't wait to keep seeing more pictures of you and your treasure!

Thank you arabesques, so sweet of you! You were so right about the likelihood of one of these coming home with me. I love that you've decided it's a 'she', and on day two, I love 'her' even more than yesterday! And I understand why you've babied yours. I do that with my jewelry too, as I want the pieces I love to last forever.

I always feel a bit like Goldilocks, especially when shopping at Hermes. I'm now always looking for the perfect fit (size, color, material, etc...), as I've declared my closet and jewelry box to be "misfit-free' zones! This one felt 'just right'.

Major congrats!!! It is absolutely stunning and one of my favorite pieces. I just treasure mine. I went with the 160 as I also wear it as chain belt. Like you, I was totally on the fence between the 120 and 160. I swear I was there for 45 minutes trying to decide. I'm so happy for you--this is such an incredible piece of jewelry.

Many thanks, bluebichonfrise, so nice of you to share my excitement! :smile1: So very fun to hear you've a 160 that you love. It didn't seem to take me too long to decide on the length, but then it always seems I've entered into a time warp when I shop in my boutique! Time flies while looking through the various departments, and at all gorgeous items!

Etoile, congratulations! You wear the Farandole so well. Welcome to the world of H silver!

Thank you dear, plumtree! You are our reigning queen in the kingdom of H silver! :worthy: You have such a wonderful collection! I also tried a large bangle, and the smaller of the two horse rings (both from the new Galop line). They were so beautiful, and I thought the ring was adorable! Still pondering the ring... ;)

You can do a check of sizes on a conversion table from European sizes to US sizes (assuming you are in the US). I don't believe the rings are nearly as difficult to find, but in my boutique they are often not in the display cases. If you ask your SA, they can probably pull some out of a drawer, mine does!! :graucho:

Oh I forgot to ask...how hard is it to get/buy a CDC ring from H store?

I'm hoping it is not as "challenging" as getting a CDC bracelet.

etoile congrats on your amazing purchase!!! this is a classic and you wear it perfectly! i know you will get tons of use out of this as it is a very versatile piece!

Etoile de Mer Look forward to seeing the Farandole appearing in your posts, it's a wonderful piece and I know you're going to love it .
I have the 160 size and as others have said love the heft of it as well as the classic clean lines.

ladies and gents i wanted to share with you an amazing piece that i have been lusting after since seeing it in the ads, and then first previewing it here in this exact thread...

Reigning queen of H Silver, plumtree, has previewed the necklace and ring in this series, but being the bracelet girl that i am, that is what i ended up getting...

i have been talking about this piece non-stop to DH, and showing him all the photos, and to my great surprise, he presented me with my dream bracelet on Valentine's day...

i can't tell you how obsessed i am with it... the detail is truly amazing!!! it is such an easy piece to wear despite the size, because it's light (lighter than the silver CDC bracelet), and the torsade links are malleable and bend and mold exactly to your wrist, unlike the cuff/clic clac/enamels which are solid pieces.

for those interested, the sizing comes in XS, S, M and L... i have a very small wrist and the XS fits me perfectly... i could have gone smaller actually but there's nothing smaller than the XS.

anyway, without further ado, may i present Galop Bracelet GM
(sorry for the million pics but i am so in love and i have not seen many pics of this piece yet, so i figured if people were on the fence, this could help them decide)

** i also clearly have a thing for horses... i have several pieces with this magnificent creature so i tried to be creative and take photos with them as backdrops**
