Plumtree, That's another beautiful necklace. I've never seen anything like it in the boutiques. It's wonderfully casual as well.

Ebony is a magical material, no?

As requested (long ago, apologies), I was able to wrangle MP for a photograph of the Loop TGM silver earrings acquired over the holidays. I love these—and MP always asks where they are if we go out. That said, for all you long-haired ladies, the earrings can get caught in long hair, resulting in pulls to the ear. Not necessarily an easy piece to wear. But drop dead gorgeous if you do! :D

Also wearing the 160cm Farandole silver necklace, here wrapped 4x around the neck and layered with a 2 meter strand of pearls wrapped 5x.
Stunning!!!

Thanks noneeta! Too kind! My favourite cuff? That's like asking who's my favourite child lol. The Chaine d'Ancre has that wonderful delicate look to it; the Memoire has those cool scales; Ellipse is easy to wear...my brain will short circuit if I have to pick just one!

Haha so true! Totally respect that.

Any idea what this is that I am ogling at? It's not your memoire is it? It doesn't have scales and the shop was closed on that Sunday.

These look lovely on you, arabesques, thanks for posting! Whole outfit is fab! :smile1: I've been considering a Farandole silver necklace. May I ask how you decided which length to buy? I've heard the 160cm is quite heavy, and so lean towards the 120cm...but I do love how you've wrapped yours multiple times for use as a choker. I assume both are exactly the same gauge, just differing in length? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Thank you, etoile de mer!

The decision to acquire the 160cm was easy: I can use it as a low-slung belt (2x around) and as the 4x choker that you see. I very much love the look of the latter. If I wrap it reasonably tight (you can see it is loose here), I can wrap it 4x around, but still have quite a bit dangling into the cleavage—something that's a big hit, as you can well imagine. Since that was the big look I was after . . . the 160cm was the solution.

Ultimately, the 160cm is just a better all-around item for me—and I like heft. I do NOT find the 160cm heavy; it hasn't come up once as an issue in the near two years I've had it. The 120cm seemed too . . . normal in scale. I don't wear a lot of jewelry at once, so I tend to lean toward the bigger statement pieces.

Many thanks arabesques, so very helpful! I tend to favor larger, statement pieces as well. I also love longer necklaces, and can imagine wearing the 160cm doubled, which still would give some presence, in addition to length. I look forward to giving it a try, when I'm next at my boutique.

Good luck. I'm betting you won't leave without one. ;)

It's a gorgeous ring, Carlinha and hope you find it! One more (and sorry about the state of my nails: that's what happens when you hang out around stables).

Gears turning now...thanks to you, arabesques! ;) One of my favorite necklaces is a continuous strand of large, freshwater pearls, and I've just remembered it's about the same length as the 160cm. I love its versatility, and could wear it layered with the Farandole short like you have, or longer. But...will ponder a bit, as I have high hopes for a GM this spring, either in Dip Dye, and/or cashmere/silk. Thankfully, there are typically just a few items each season that I fall in love with!
