Bumping this thread (and sorry this is so long!) I'm trying to decide between Lindy 26 and Opli 28 - can anyone comment on pros/cons of both? The shop by me doesn't have an Opli to see in person. Thank you in advance all
FYI, I don't carry a ton: iPhone X, small wallet, card case of extra cards (eventually migrating this to a Calvi or two), small bag with cosmetics and spare meds and usually a couple of toddler items (sweater, snack etc.)
My only bag requirements these days: no obvious branding and no clip-on shoulder straps (straps gotta be integrated to the style - that hand-carry Kelly Sellier will come when the kid is older!)
Opli 28 questions:
- How much can the bag actually hold (particularly as compared to the Lindy 26)
without changing appearance? Does it
feel small or roomy?
- Is the middle compartment too tight to get things in/out of?
- How wide is that flat section of the middle compartment and are those side areas wasted space? (see photo)
- Can you really see what's in there or do those pinched sides where the strap attaches hinder what you can see?
- If you put things in the front/rear flatter pockets, does it mess up the bag structure?
- When you put things in those front/rear pockets, does the front flap lie flat or does it "flare" or "wing" out at the corners? I can't tell where the magnetic closure(s) is/are.
- How easy is it to transition from cross body to shoulder? Is there any way to remove the strap to make it a clutch?
- Does it feel "bulky" under the arm? It seems to be 4.3" as compared to the Lindy 26 which is aprox 5" thick. Not sure that will make enough of a difference in feel?
- The only obvious "con" for me is that I'd be choosing to go with cross body rather than the slightly more elegant hand-carry. More functional, less pretty?
- Do you Opli owners find the front flap stays "square" to the bag? See the blue photo where the flap either was never square or has tilted over time.
For me, here are the pros/cons of the Lindy 26:
- Pro: Love the dual carry options with integrated strap
- Pro: The big "hole" style structure holds a ton (even in size 26) and seems like it's super flexible re. what you can fit in there.
- Con: When on shoulder, it's a bit thick/boxy to me (sticks out from my body too much)
- Con: feels a little "squat" overall
- Con: Black leather doesn't come in verso interior (but in the Opli it does, love!)
