I have two k25 sellier in epsom. It is stiff but doesn’t stop me from using them. I just do not go in and out frequently. I still would buy another in epsom.

Hi! Does anyone know if Kelly Selliers come in any smooth leathers besides Box? Or if anyone has received offers of Selliers in heritage leathers in recent years? I’ve been looking around and it seems they’re almost all in Epsom, Togo or Chèvre Mysore (and exotics) these days. Thanks!
Smooth leather Sellier (new and older) include Butler, Box, Tadelakt, and Barenia. Some include Swift/Gulliver in smooth, although there is a fine grain in these. HTH!
I received a Box leather K28 Sellier this year from an Hermès boutique. It was an exceptional circumstance that I will not be discussing here, but I must say the leather and the craftsmanship on this piece is exquisite. I think it is finer than my other Kelly and finer than my other Box leather bags from Hermès.

Something I saw at FSH:
As you can see below, the canvas part is made up of alternating threads of blue and cream, a bit similar to what they did to Birkin Fray Fray:
Hermes calls it Twill H but I don't know if the Kelly itself has an official name. Maybe just Kelly with Twill H.

Hey. I don’t think it’s quadrille because the Kelly Quadrille looks like this.
The squares in the weave are more prominent, hence the name quadrille, like the square dance.
