How is Hermès alligator leather ? Is it durable?

I have a Samorga for my 35 and while it fits perfectly, I don’t use it because I feel it takes up too much space.

I use a Maitai. Fits well but not as many pockets and compartments as others. On the other hand, she makes beautiful inserts.

hope this is the right place to ask i am trying to research vintage 20cm mini kelly sellier shoulder bag - the one without the handle. is it true they came in different strap length? the longest being 22" drop for crossbody, and also 9" and 15"?
